  • did your parents ever do this?

just wondering... everytime my family go to wdw my parents say that befor they had kids of theyre own they used to pick an obvious first timer (a kid who had never been to the sacred place) and throghout theyre day they would check on him and his family and look at how his first disney expierience was going... they used to look at theyre faces and this is one of the only reasons they kept coming back every year.... now when we go to wdw everytime we go on a new ride or one of my favorite rides my mom always looks at my face and i know she is doing the same thing she used to... i never really asked her about it... i just know its there,
did your parents used to do this to you?

No. My parents respected my privacy to enjoy at will without being stared at.

My parents did the same thing. They received more enjoyment from my wild eyed wonder than the park itself. When I was older they explained it made the experience more joyful to see it through a child's eyes. It made the park more enjoyable to them because I noticed things they never saw. It's something that I enjoy now too.
