  • Orlando #1 Angriest City in US?

It is true that the site of one of the world greatest places is also the angriest. Could be due to the lack of maintanance and care at Disney.

Not about Disney at all. It's more due to stupid tourists clogging our roads and not knowing their way around, making right turns from the left lane, and slowing down to a hault in the highway when they realized they missed their exit. But Disney's lack of maintenance does nothing to upset this town.

Not to mention locals from tampa who drive like they do, and dislike the i4 constriction that's taken what 15 years to work on.. And its almost done into disney.... and yet orlandos side will have to be rebuilt again due to traffic...

Actually, it's probably skewed because of TDLFAN... Aww, you know we love ya'. :P

I wouldn't be suprised is the exotic reptiles and gigantic insects have quite a bit to do with it, too.

I heard this on the radio this morning. I think Florida had like 4 cities in the top 10 - Miami, Orlando, St Petersburg, and Jacksonville. I believe the study had to do with blood pressure - which if you have many retired old people living in your state, wouldn't you expect high blood pressure rates?

Well, aren't we lucky! If FL is so angry and bad to live in then why does everyone keep moving here? My husband has high blood pressure and he's not a senior citizen, but he does drive into Jacksonville every day for work.

I was shocked Florida had all those cities in the top 10. NY was way down the list at 57. Who woulda thought?

I think we better check the statistical data process, I have a sneaky feelign thay might have been interviewing TDLFAN over and over and took the comments about how much better TDL is out of context...

They keep moving there so that they can drive all crazy like in their retirement.

Maybe if they made a decent rapid transit system like in Tokyo ... cough cough ... tourists wouldn't need to rent a car and cause such problems.

Well, I did hear a lot of rambling and venting (,, :rant from those I worked with about I4 and I-Drive. Some days, more than others. Now if everyone could just call that one number, then maybe things would be better? :croll:

We tried, then disney demanded it skip everywhere but disney, mco, and tpa... you think we will have a transit system like that?? seaworld and universal get enough traffic...

so your the one responsable for the bad traffic on 275....

(and you all thought it was tdl fan who skewed the results?? )

Obviously the people that did this "study" haven't been in the San Juan, Metropolitan Area in Puerto Rico. I've been into N.Y. and FL. and trust me, FL feels like paradise compared to San Juan, people are nicer than in San Juan, and traffic ha! Traffic in Orlando is nothing compared to San Juan, wich has more population density than most of the U.S. Cities.

N.Y. is very similar to San Juan, however people obey more traffic laws more than in P.R.

And many tourists are not even US citizens. Then again, no matter the citizenship, every country has its share of stupid drivers that are born without the ability or brains to drive and think at the same time.

I'm just glad most of the work where 275 & I-4 meet in Tampa is pretty much done. I remember coming down here on vacation back in 1993 (I lived in MI at the time) and they were working on the construction. Back this spring it took me nearly an hour to drive from Clearwater through downtown Tampa. Last month it was through there in a breeze and took an hour and a half total to drive from Clearwater to WDW.... as it should be!
