  • Question I need answered before I leave for WDW on Saturday..

The wife and I just found out that she's pregnant and the doctor said that flying and MOST of WDW is ok (Mission: Space, ToT and a few others were absolute no-no's) but I wanted to know and can't seem to find anywhere on the net is what the closest ER equipped hospital to the Disney Property along with an address and phone number? (we're staying at POR). Thanx.

Reedy Creek Fire Department (Walt Disney World's EMS) is located on property (you will probably see them as you pass from resort to park and back), and they use Florida Hospital's Celebration Health (http://www.celebrationhealth.com/) which they say is the closest.

I wouldn't ride either side of Mission:Space while pregnant. You miss the Gs on the green side, but it's still pretty intense. Not quite as jarring as Star Tours, but not smooth, either.

Congratulations, Dirty Bunny! Any attraction that a pregnant woman shouldn't ride, is labeled as such by Disney - just keep your eyes open. When my Sister-in-Law was pregnant with her third (16 yrs ago) we went to MK and Epcot and noticed there were two 'levels' of pregnancy warnings - one was like 'you should consider not going on this if you're pregnant' - the other was 'don't even think about it'. I'm not sure if they have those two different kinds of warnings anymore. But if you're concerned about where the nearest ER is, I would recommend steering her away from ANY attraction that has any warning.

I'm assuming she's still in her first trimester if you just found out - so I hope she doesn't have to deal with morning sickness, but make sure you watch hydration and energy levels and take a break if you need. Even if it's just in an AC'd -sit down attraction like Hall of Presidents or American Adventure. The film in France is also a very calm attraction (I'm not sure my eyes have stayed open for that whole attraction yet!)

That celebration hospital is the closest... I am sure if you call 407-WDISNEY, and get a live person on the phone, they can also assist you,.
