OK, so my family went to WDW last weekend for the MNNSHP. Now, ever since I was 5 years old and went through the Contemporary hotel on the monorail I have wanted to stay in that hotel. My parents couldn't afford it when I was young so now I was fortunate enough to be able to stay there with my own little family. But I wanted to make sure we had a MK view room so we could watch the fireworks from our balcony, so that's what we booked. So, we get to the Contmeporary after a short stop in Lake Mary after my 5 year old threw up in the car...UGH! I go to check in and the cm tells me that due to unforseen problems with the refurb and electricity they don't have my room and want to move us to the Polynesian. I about cracked! I told her my whole monorail when I was 5 story and that if I had wanted to stay at the Poly I would have booked the Poly, but I was very nice to her because I know it wasn't her fault. She proceeds to tell me that the Poly is considered a better resort than Contemporary, but I am really about to just break down and cry so she goes to get the manager to see what they can do. By now my husband has made it inside after unloading our truck with the bellman and he can tell something is up. Now, by this time, I have pretty much just stopped listening to the cms and ask them to explain everything to him so he can take care of it. Here's where it got good...the manager offers us a concierge level suite for the one night until they can move us to the tower side MK view room! Now I didn't know anything about these rooms but my husband who used to work in the hotel industry for the Ritz-Carlton knew we were getting something special. So, we accepted this and were told to take full advantage of the concierge services while we were on the 14th floor and that they had just started the afternoon snacks. So, the bellman even tells us to grab a couple extra beers and put them in our fridge in the room. Now the room...OH MY GOD! It was a 3 room suite! We almost didn't want to go to the party and just stay in the room! So, excellent customer service still does exist!
This is the living area with a queen size sleeper sofa, full size dining table, and a plasma tv

This is one of the bedrooms. There were 2 of them with 2 queen size beds in each, a small refrigerator, their own bathroom, and a plasma tv.

There was even a computer in the room.

Here is the view taken from 3 separate private balconies...

Here was the view from the lounge where we had a really nice continental breakfast the next morning.

Now, here are a few pics from the party.
This group was the most original costumes I saw that night. I know Peter pan and Wendy are not unusual but how often do you see John and Michael with them. My daughter was so impressed that Michael had the umbrella and top hat and John had his teddy bear. and yes those are footed pajamas he is wearing!
