If you are taking the magical express, how long does it take to get from the airport to the resort on Friday at about 4pm?

Re: Time from Orlando airport to Resort
Did you know that it takes longer to fly from California to Florida, than from Florida to California.
The world is spinning!

Re: Time from Orlando airport to Resort
According to a Disney CM who is a moderator on another board (and also a former DME driver, a job he did part-time before his recent Disney promotion), the average time from PLANE LANDING to a guest's drop-off at resort is 70 minutes. Of course, this is including walking from the gate through the airport to the ground transportation area, etc.
Someone who took 2.5 hours to get to their resort via DME was very, very unlucky. Yes, the DME bus may stop at up to 3 other resorts, but the drop-offs are very quick, and there are no pick-ups (those are done by OTHER buses). Also, the wait time at the airport is limited because the buses are only permitted to wait around for up to 15 minutes before they have to shove off even if there are only two people on-board.
When I used DME, it took 53 minutes from the time I got into the DME Welcome Center line until I was dropped off at CBR. I didn't time it from the gate because we made a few bathroom stops along the way. Assuming it's a 10-minute walk, that would've put my time at 63 minutes from gate to resort.
My experience with DME was great, and I'm using it again in 9 days.

Re: Time from Orlando airport to Resort
I think it was about 60 minutes from 7PM touchdown at MCO to arrival at Coronado Springs back in Feb this year. Expectations based on various sources was 2 hours, so I was very, very happy with the one hour time.
Minor detail: All but one suitcase got to our room approx. an hour after our arrival in the room. That one suitcase arrived around midnight, but that wasn't a big deal at all. Kids slept right through the guy tossing it through our window, and cleanup crew took care of the broken glass in the morning.
Great service all the way around and won't hesitate to use DME again!

I can second (or third) this. I have used it three times. All three times it was about an hour from gate to drop off. I have never waited more than 10 minutes or so for a bus to leave. All three times I arrived between 10 and 11 AM on a Saturday, so traffic was a bit lighter than on a Friday afternoon.

Must have been a bad experience then for my cousin. The only reason I know how long it took is because we were waiting for her at the hotel. Had fun shopping while we waited though.
