  • Florida resident ticket ?

Do they actually check for a Florida ID at the gate?
What does the site mean a Florida Military I.D.?
I ask because Military I.D.s do not have residence or location.
Have you ever seen anyone turned away who had a Florida ticket and not an I.D.?
I reject your reality, and subsitute my own!

    Re: Florida resident ticket ?

When I've purchased my FL resident annual pass (many moons ago) and 3 Day Play passes they've asked to see my ID to prove I'm a FL resident before they'd let me buy them. I've never been asked for my ID at the entrance gates though.

I buy my family's tickets at the Disney store and then take the cards to exchange at the parks. We have done this for 2 years now. They have asked me both times for mine and my husbands ID's to verify FL residency.

They asked for both mine and hubby's FL DL's when we went to Epcot on 1/20.

What the other ladies have said holds true for the FL resident part. As far as military goes maybe it just means if you can show a military ID if you can prove you're a FL resident?

You should contact MiceChatter, Coastierox (he hasn't visited in a while, but his brother, pizzapants does) regarding this. Maybe he can give you some information?

Maybe jimmybop knows something about the tickets here too? If that doesn't work I'm sure the 1-407-W-Disney number can help you.

            Re: Florida resident ticket ?

You have to show Fl. ID AND your military ID for these kinds of tics. You buy them on base, but are only given a voucher which you turn in for the actual tics at DW. The ladies on base shouldn't sell you Fl. tics if you aren't a Fl. resident (they can get in trouble for this, since it is fraud). You can buy out of state military tics if you aren't a Fl. resident.

YES I have seen people turned away and their tickets confiscated.

              Thanks for the info everyone.
I was a Florida resident, until June when my husband got back from deployment, and so I don't have Florida licence anymore, so just wanted to see if I could try to get by, having just moved from Florida. (I still have mail delivered there!)
My sister's wedding I was flying out for next week has just turned into a "by the way, we are going to Disney", and they are all get the Florida resident 3 day ticket, so I was seeing if I could save $70.
Thanks for the info, I'm gonna go work out the financials.

(New thread- I'm going to Walt Disney World...do you know anyone who needs a kidney?)
