The Castle Suite / Walt's Apartment

The suite in Cinderella Castle (originally intended as Walt's apartment at WDW) reminds me a lot of Walt's apartment at Disneyland. Do you get the same feeling? I know the decor styles are somewhat different, but look at the sofa and the chairs and pillows. It seems that Walt could move right in and feel at home!

I think the main difference between the two is that i believe Mrs. Disney furnished it with real antiques and the castle suite had beautiful custom furniture built for it. But yes, Walt could totally move in and feel right at home!

Yeah. They are totally different styles. One Victorian, one gothic, fairy-tale castle.

I've not seen what the castle suite looks like, but it'll never be like Walt's apartment simply because Walt never stayed in the castle suite.

I expected alot more pink and baby blue. That's what I imagined, at least. Alot of Cinderella blue. And gold.

Walt had hoped to stay there, but it was booked solid for two years.
Warning: Portions of this attraction are intense and may not be appropriate for younger children.

I should have done the interior designing....I could see it now...a giant gold tiara for the head board.....gold fixtures with crowns for handles....baby blue fabric on the bed, pink and yellow throw pillows, little mice painted on the base boards....sparkles...LOTS of sparkles.

are you implying that I'm gaudy? Hey, it's Disney.....there's no such thing as gaudy.
