  • Splash Mountain ... better?

Anyone been on since it's almost month-long closure?

I'm wondering if any cleaning and/or show work was done ... anybody know?

They repainted the briar patch needles and powersteamed gum off the walls and then opened her back up. Show scenes got no love, figs that were broken still don't work, etc. Disappointing.

It got a brand new paint job and all the animatronics seem to be working, but many of the water effects were broken when a friend of mine visited it last week. He said the paint looks wonderful but was dissapointed to see several effects still not working correctly.

Different department, different red tape. I'm completely guessing.

That's unfortunate, I do hope they fix it soon.

^^ With WDW standards of maintenance, I bet your hat is still wherever it fell - especially if it fell on a showscene! So, you'll probably be able to reach out and scoop it back up the next time you pass by.

Likewise I am sure the chewing gum that sat stuck on the sets and cavern queue inside Splash are probably still there as well...

With 2 conflicting reports, I wonder if all the AAs work now. Last time I was there, there were some AAs in a broken state (all week long) that could have almost scared little kids (jaws looking like they were about to fall off)

Of course, I really missed hopping Brer Rabbit.
