  • THE WDW Souvenier

    So....

I'm going to Disney World this summer and I want to know what I should get if I were only to get one thing, regardless of price.

Is the WDW CD set worth it? A figment doll maybe?

    I'll take any suggestions.

The golden Mouse ears for the 50th Disneyland Celebration - they will only be there for 18 months and will be massive collectors items in a couple of years - talking about hundreds of dollars in 30 years time. Plus they look really cool.

well if money really isn't a object, then I would go for the Electric Light Parade, I mean the real parade! I'd take it home and every night send it up and down the street, with the neighbors help of course. I say go for it... you know, if money isn't an object.

Do you think it is really worth buying the WDW golden ears? I already have the Disneyland ones, so I don't think I'm too interested in another pair.

If only I really could take home the Electrical Parade....

Get a set from WDW, they are a little different than the Disneyland ones.

One of my favorite WDW souvenirs was priced at $7.00. It's the MONORAIL MAGNET!!
The magnet is shaped like the front car, and is about an inch thick. Press the button once and you hear Monorail Guy say "Please hold on to the handrails." Again, "Please stand clear of the doors." Once more, "Por favor mantagese....puertas."

            Best souvenir EVER!

(and I apologize for not knowing how to spell the spiel in Spanish....)

Wow I have been to WDW over 20 times and have never seen that. That sounds awesome. Where do you pick it up in the parks and I'm sure DTD?

I purchased mine last October at the Kitchen wares store on Main Street USA in the MK. I also saw it in World of Disney at DTD at the same time.

I'm currently visiting WDW and planning on hitting MK tomorrow so I'll look and see if it's still there and let ya know!

What about My Pal Mickey? Is it a good idea for a 7-day stay?

And what are the new features for the latest version over the previous one?

Some of the best souven-ears don't cost a dime. Ride in front of the monorail and you get a "Monorail Licence" card. My all time favorite thing that I hope to get one day is the monorail set (with the different resorts and accessories that go with it). Other good souven-ears are the onride photos.

As for Pal Mickey, I'd recomend it if it's your first time there or if you are a Disney fanatic.

Regarding monorail magnet... Didn't find it at the Kitchen Wares store on Main Street this time around. Was unable to get to World of Disney before my vacation was over, so I don't know if it is still available there or not....

No problem thanks for trying at least. Anyways, I have 8 days coming up in August to hunt for it. I'll report back if I find it.
