  • Tha really scary ride? The alien thing.

Anyone have a video? I never went on it because I was too scared and they took it out and replaced it with Stich I think....Was it really that scary? I heard a lot of stories like that a decapitated head came at you but I think he was making it up...

I think this is what you're looking for. The ride was called Extraterroestrial Alien Encounter.

No it wasn't too scary. It used 3D sound technology and was mostly in the dark. It did tend to scare little kids.

Definitely scary for the kids. Pleasantly creepy for adults. The effects also seemed better in Alien Encounter as opposed to Stitch Escape.

Definitely creepy, but not out and out scary. Some nice humor too, such as the line above, which both my brother and I thought was the audience when we first went on it.

Oh GOSH.. I don't like aliens AT ALL. AT ALLLLL.

My parnets convinced me to go on this ride when we went to Disney World with Make-a-wish when I was 11. I still, to this day, get freaked out. *Cringe*

To live would be an awfully big adventure.

Just watched the video. Did the ride move at all? Because it didn't seem like it yet they had you harnessed like a roller coaster.

The harnesses where there for one reason. They housed special effect devices such as speakers and air fans among other things.

Maybe another possible use was to keep you in your seat so you would not jump into the next row when the alien was behind you?? :whistling:

Well, with Stitch, they use the harnesses to make you think that Stitch is standing on you, or bouncing on you, or something. I don't really remember.

The ride never moved and was a lot like Stitch except a lot darker and a LOT scarier. Definitely was not for kids! I think WDW Monorail is right; the harness was there to keep you from jumping out of your seat and/or getting up and running like h-e-double-hockey-sticks for the door!

it used the harness partially to keep you in your seats since most of the ride was in the dark and also as special effects for speakers, and physical effects much like in stitch.
