  • s/o what celebrities have you seen at WDW? (Merged)

I saw the WWE wrestler 'Mankind' walking through the communicore area of EPCOT last October with his family. He had an escort but was walking through the regular park areas. I am not a wrestling fan, but my dh watches it once in a while, so that was how I recognized him. It was weird to see a celeb in person!

Who have you seen in the parks?

    Andrea Bochelli *swoons*
    The Doodlebops
    Regis and Kelly
Some famous basketball player (people were crowding him, I was just trying to get to lunch) LOL
Roy Disney Jr (but I was to scared to approach him at the time. )

The question SHOULD BE: "s/o what celebrities have you seen breastfeeding at WDW?"

I saw Howie Long, and he had no escort! It was a slow day in February and he was waving and saying hi to folks, but wouldn't stop for anyone.

I got lucky, and rode Splash Mountain with him.

Also, once I ate at the hibachi place in Epcot with another family. I struck up a conversation with the "father" and he told me he was a pro basketball player on the Minnesota Timberwolves. I tried to remember his name so I could look him up later... but after I finished my sake his name was a distant memory.

He was a nice guy, whoever he was.

 I guess I've got a reputation now! I can guarantee this s/o won't be as controversial though.

              what does "s/o" mean

Only celebrity I saw randomly enjoying the day at WDW was Robin Williams at MK back in 1996. *I have seen others working before like Vanessa Williams, Paulina Rubio, John O'hurly, Regis & Kelly, Andrea Bochelli, the kids from HSM and some others I can't remember now.

*Edited to clarify: I was not the one working at WDW the celebrities were at work performing.

Spin- Off.... I was spinning off this topic from the John Travolta thread. I was curious about other celebs people had seen in the parks, but didn't want to take that thread too far off topic.

Re: s/o what celebrities have you seen at WDW?

I saw John Stamos and Rebecca Romjin (when they were still married) a few days before Christmas 2001. They had an escort, but she was way behind. They seemed to be with nieces and nephews, just enjoying WDW during the holidays (I think John Stamos may have been a narrator for Candlelight Processional that year...it would make sense). My sister saw them at MK while I was riding Space Mountain, and I was so upset I missed it. The next day, we saw them at MGM, so I got to see them (sad, I know).

I saw Brad Garrett from Everybody Loves Raymond at DL last March, and the same day, my mom, dad, and sister saw Jamie Lee Curtis (again, I missed it because I was riding SM...perhaps I should skip it next time ).

wow, now thats a treat. I heard he is a great celebrity when not working and treats people well. of course since you were working you didn't get a chance to mingle much about his past. but still. congrats!

I only see celebs when they come down for Christmas tapings. I just don't look for them otherwise since they are there to have fun and enjoy themselves. (and they are almost like normal people... just got lucky and been in the quarts lights longer than others...)
