  • Free Internet at WDW...

Well, evidently the Contemporary just got free internet in the rooms.

No word yet if all the hotels will get it for free, but in Disneyland, the internet is free!

I just like the idea of free internet, and not having to pay $10 a night for it.

Agreed. Especially the room itself is $300+ a night.

I have to pay the 10$ a night when I go to Wilderness Lodge in August because I have to have it for summer school. Such a waste of money over a week.

This should help Disney compete with others - especially when it comes to booking conventions. I wouldn't be surprised if Coronado and Caribbean Beach are the first two Moderates to get internet included.

          And is this wireless?

It's possible they aren't able to. I was at an Embassy Suites, and when I inquired to them why the internet there was $10 while it was free at the days inn the manager told me that they were locked in a contract with the provider. Is it possible that Disney resorts are stuck in a similar deal?

Now now, you know better then to ask me that!

Yes, it's official! And yes, it's the in-room internet. They even have computers in select rooms now.

                      Sorry... had to ask.

So now we need to get it in at Coronado Springs by September....

Possible since it is the other major convention resort

                        Re: Free Internet at WDW...

Just spent 4 days over the memorial day weekend at the Carribean Beach Resort and the plug in internet was showing $9.95 for a 24 hour period, but everytime I fired up the laptop it hooked into a wireless internet. Though I do suspect that I might have been on someone's paid one, cause each time I started my browser I would get a popup with a count down clock. I agree though that for the prices you're paying for the room, free wi-fi is something that should be included, especially considering how little you spend in your rooms.

Good, because my ethernet plugin is broken now.

10 bucks a day isn't bad, on the boats it's 75 cents a minute. or 25 cents a minute when you buy the 500 minute package. and boy does that add up.
