  • Magic Kingdom 3rd & 4th of July Update (CHANGES)

Some major changes have been made for the 3rd & 4th of July at the Magic Kingdom. First, the park is open till 1am both nights. The park opens at 9am on the 3rd, and 8am on the 4th.

Wishes will not be presented either night. A special 4th of July show will be presented both nights at 9pm. It is NOT Fantasy in the Sky. The 4th of July show will be identical each night, with a mirror image over the Seven Seas Lagoon and perimeter fireworks around the park. It is nothing like Fantasy in the Sky, and is very similar to the show that was presented last year on July 4th.

SpectroMagic will be presented both nights at 10:30pm and 12:30am.

The Share A Dream Come True Parade will be presented both days at 12:30pm and 3:30pm.

Wishes will NOT be presented on either night.

    This is an official change.

Also, Disney expects to reach MK full capacity on both days for a limited number of hours each day. (Between 10am and 5pm) Once the park reaches full capacity, no one will be admitted until the number comes down.

Bumped this, as it's rather important for a lot of you.

So where is the best place to see the 4th fireworks at MK? I was thinking the promenade outside the turnstiles would be nice, unless the train station blocks too much of the view. Is the music played in front of the train station and turnstiles, or just on Main Street?

I was on Main Street last year and it was packed! Great show but I couldn't see it all 'cause I was working

Contemporary might also be a nice viewing spot.

Remember, there is a mirror image of the Fireworks. If you were at the promenade outside the turnstyles, you'd look towards the lagoon to see the majority of the fireworks.

The best spot I think is in Fantasyland. You're really close to everything.

I think the best spot is at the Polynesian Beach, where you actually get to see everything in just one look.

What time are the fireworks going to be set off at MK? Are the MK ones better than the ones in Epcot? Is it possible to hit both?!

^^^Epcot's fireworks on July 4th are annually WDW's best. It's also the best park to navigate on one of the busiest days of the year.

The fireworks at MK are at 9pm on both nights. I suggest seeing the MK fireworks on the 3rd at 9pm and seeing the Epcot fireworks on the 4th at 10pm.
