  • A new Yesterworld...

Get out your photos folks and start reminiscing...

As I said earlier, the Body Wars mural was going to be painted over.

As of the other day, the repaint is complete. The wall is completely white, with only the Body Wars sign left

The Cranium Command "Now Playing" letters on the marquee have also been removed.

Is that it? Is anything going to be added in its place or are they happy with a white wall?

No no, not JUST a white wall...a "CORPORATE" white wall. Did you really expect any better from Walt Disney World at this point?

Sadly no. They should just call WDW Eisner World, until they get it up to Walt's standards.

Sad. But we all knew it was coming.

At least Epcot has a new VP in charge with some clue and some love for his job and the parks.

But he doesn't get to decide what happens to WoL ultimately ... but he can influence people. And just letting special events/conventions have it isn't wise because they'll never give it back.

Sad but not the first time either - at Disneyland a fabulous original tile mural by Mary Blair (the Disney legend of Small World and Contemporary Resort fame) was overlaid when Star Tours moved in.
