With an empty stomach and our eyes on World Showcase, my honey and I headed to Epcot for some feasting and fun.
As always, if you wish to see all the photos I took today, please visit HERE.
We went with:
Maple Glazed Salmon with Roasted Corn and Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
Salmon was cooked perfectly and the cheese soup is always a favorite of ours. Wasn't enough!

The sauce had kind of a horseradish flavor with the lamb being a little raw for my taste. My boyfriend loved it however.

I went with Lady Grey, it tasted a lot like Earl Grey but a slight difference. Was great when we added some Splenda.
As neither of us enjoy snails we went with the quiche.
Quiche au Fromage de Chevre

Other than cheese, I have no idea what was in this but it was very good. You should try it, at least once.

After asking if Phil wanted a crepe and when he asked, "What is that?" I had to run to the nearest crepe station and get one for him to try immediately!

After seeing one prepared he got a little anxious and took a bite before I could snap a photo. I guess he liked it.

What we had:
Seared Buffalo with Scalloped potatoes and Onions

Buffalo is interesting, it tastes a lot like beef but a little tougher, the potatoes that came with it went well together.

Oklahoma was the only state that was represented, I'm still a little confused on that but they did have their own little display. It was very nicely done.

What we went with:
Walnut Baklava, Bastilla and Sangria

We didn't ask for the wine but they charged us for it and I figured why not, so this was the only meal we had a wine addition.
I enjoyed the Baklava, the wine complimented it very well. The Bastilla was probably the most disgusting thing I ate all day. When asked how I would describe the flavor I replied, "If I enjoyed eating lotion, I would have this dish everyday." They said it was a chicken pastry, neither of us enjoyed it. Bleh. LOL

LOVED the Lamb Chop, the sauce added to the overall flavor and we enjoyed it very much! The shrimp was also good but didn't really have any extra special flavor to it.
Poland came next,
as it is part of my heritage (insert joke here) we had to try some Polish food. My grandmother made all of the things on the menu that we ate when I was a kid, it was very nostalgic for me.

Pazcki (Polish donut)

The kielbasa and perogies were fabulous. The donut was a little dry but good, not as good as grandma's I'm afraid.

As we were quite full at that point, we caught a showing of American Adventure. Phil had never seen it before and enjoyed it very much. I was just grateful to let my tummy settle.

I have to say we expected something a little different than what we got. We thought it would be something with melted cheese and were a little disappointed with just cheese balls and mini tomatoes. It was ok but not worth what we paid for it, IMHO.

This was another good tidbit, was just enough to enjoy the flavor but not to much that it was overwhelming. Also, the after taste of the pretzel was really wonderful.

Turkey was another country with its own area, they had this really great backdrop and some shopping. Didn't grab any food though.

The topping kind of overshadowed the meal itself. We enjoyed it but had to scrap off the toppings so we could actually taste it!

We went with:
Chicken Cha Sha

This was good but tasted like every chicken on a skewer I've ever eaten at a chinese buffet. Still liked it though!

This meal was great with all the ingredients together, it was an explosion of taste in our mouth. We enjoyed it very much and would have it again.

Spanish Olives, Marcona Almonds and Chorizo Sausage
Baked Tortilla with Chicken and Cheese
It was good, not something I would order if given the choice though. It tasted better than it looked, I promise.

Our stomachs could take no more, we would just have to come back and try everything we missed.

Over all we had a wonderful time, ate LOTS of good food and just enjoyed the ambiance of World Showcase. If anyone ever gets the opportunity, I highly recommend going to this event at least once. Also, don't forget to share, if we would have added the wine to every meal we would have spent around $7-8 per person, per booth so sharing is key!
