What they need to do is put back a Cinema inside the Cinema. I don't care if they want to sell movie style candy inside, but I want old black and white movies playing in there. It adds to the atmosphere of Main Street.

What they need to do is put back a Cinema inside the Cinema. I don't care if they want to sell movie style candy inside, but I want old black and white movies playing in there. It adds to the atmosphere of Main Street.

now why would disney want to do that when they have perfectly cookie cutter stuff to sell?????
i mean, you could always walk across the street to the emporium and get everything there, but with this new place to sell stuff, disney might make up to $10 more a day now!!!!!
that could be an extra penny towards the michael eisner fund...s...
or it could be money that goes to... wait, nah, probably just the eisner funds
but either way, disney (eisner) will make money off of it!!

The loss of the Main Street Cinema is just one of the many details that the Magic Kingdom has lost that makes it so lacking in comparison to the other Disneylands, but also other offerings at Walt Disney World.

FYI, it's making room for the King's Gallery which used to be in the Castle before the boutique came in *ugh*

Also, black and white movies can be seen in the back of the Expo hall

I guess that that is still the buzz these days. Although Kevin mentioned that a jewelry shop will be in there as well.

I don't think you will find much of a Super Wal-Mart in there when it re-opens.

Six Flags sells Disney clothes too! I really have no idea why.

I haven't been in the Main Street Cinema in years, but it was a nice place to get away from the crowds on a busy day.

Sadly, it will probably become a Pixar character meet and greet.

A shop formerly located in the castle. It was removed in order to welcome Bibbiti Vomitti Boutique.

At least King's Gallery will be relocated, but come on...every last bit of charm and uniqueness is being sucked right out of Main Street U.S.A, to be sure.

While DL has had its share of Wal-Marting and such, at least there is some semblance of theme and originality left there, IMO...

I totally agree. I miss going in there and watching classic Mickey Mouse & Silly Symphony cartoons.

That's one of the old theatre's for the Walt Disney Story attraction. I miss that too. I miss that mural of all the Disney characters (I know it's still there, it's now part of a "backstage" area).

It's not just buzz, I work there. There already is a jewelry shop right next to it, so I don't think we'll see any more jewelry in there.

not sure about charm, it was the temporary location for vmk and had highschool musical and pirate stuff in it. That is a pretty small area to be housing the kings gallery considering the gallery held several suits of armour and swords. I think a jewelry store and watch imporium would make more sense.

King's Gallery didn't have much space in the Castle either since half of it was shared with Arribas Bros.
