Have you ever worn a pedometer at WDW?

Our walking group is having a little contest and I will be wearing my pedometer while in WDW. I am wondering who else has worn their pedometers and counted steps while in the park.

What can I expect? I am really wanting to win the challenge in our group and think that I will be far ahead of everyone after a few days at Epcot and MK.

The walk around World Showcase Lagoon is about 1.25 miles. Magic Kingdom is about half the size of EPCOT Center, and one fifth the size of Disney's Animal Kingdom (not as accessable).

I haven't worn one, but I often have a good idea of how much I walk when at Disney. There are a lot of walks that I do that are about a mile. Like around WS lagoon, from Epcot to MGM, around the Coronado Springs Resort lake, from the Outpost to Settlement at FW, from the Settlement to WL along the path. Lots of walks that are about 20 minutes for me (approx 1 mile!) So I'm usually fairly aware of my distance at the end of a day.

You know I will have to try that next trip we go on. I'm curious to find out myself.

I wore one this past trip in August. My average mileage was between 7-9 miles a day. The least was 4 one day at the Studios, and the most was 11 at the Magic Kingdom, but the majority were only 7-9 miles.

I attempted to once... but it fell off in the parking lot and I didn't realize it until I was in the park.

I wore one at Disneyland/DCA once.... 17 miles in a day.
