Send us your Disney World photos!!!!

Hi all - We need your help! We're requesting that you send us your Disney World photos. We need all kinds. We're creating new pages on our Disney website geared towards supporting people with disabilities and special needs (Although it will be available to anyone). We'd like to post your Disney photos and even videos to help folks plan by allowing them to see everything in advance.

We want to show things like resorts, resort rooms, pools, restaurants, parks and rides, ride cars, etc. Actually anywhere on Disney property would be great including downtown disney, the water parks boardwalk, etc.

If you have photos or video that clearly shows something at Disney please consider sharing it. Even odd placess would be great, including attraction queue lines and restrooms. We'd even like photos that include the sidewalk in the parks and resorts to show what the surface is like for wheelchair.

I know many folks even like to photograph their meals at Disney. We'd like those photos as well!

Your photos can really help others have a great vacation. By the way, if you're in the photos, that's great too! We're happy to have them.

I took some really pretty pictures of Port Orleans Riverside yesterday. They dont show actual buildings though...just a bunch of trees and walkways

Toonsapie, I would love to take a look at what you have if you don't mind. The walkways and atmosphere of the trees might be important for some people to see.

Thank you so much for the offer and the encouragement. I totally agree with you. I think it would be really helpful for planning, and to help some folks feel more comfortable by being familiar before they go.

I took a look at your link to your photos and they were fabulous. I'm wondering if you would be willing to share what you already have. I saw so many things that would be helpful. For example at Epcot:

You show the parking lot right about where the handicapped parking is at epcot which would help people understand the distance to the entrance.

You've got lots of attraction entrances so people can get a sense of the atmosphere. Some of these photos even show the ground, so wheelchair users can see what they'll be riding over.

You've got flowers so allergy people can see what they're getting into.

You show the World Showcase lake so people can get a sense of the size of the park. Your photo gives a great sense of how huge it really is.

You have a couple ride queue areas. This is really important to some folks to see where they will be waiting.

Food - you have awesome food shots. Many people want to see the food to help them decide.

I could keep going, but if you would be willing, we could really use a lot of what you have. Plus you'll be famous (Just kidding).

By the way I'm so impressed you ran the rabies race for dundler-mifflin. It was such an important cause (okay - you know I watch the Office).

Sounds like a good chat club idea. Stephen and I both eat low carb so we can really participate with this one. Stephen does it for diabetes and I do it for a bunch of health reasons.

One of the things I'm trying to do is gauge how many "carb choices" are in various foods at WDW. I use the standard formula:

(grams of carbohydrate/15) - Grams of sugar alcohols - (Grams of fiber if > 5g) = # of carb choices.

The purpose of this is to help dietetics's plan meals for their trip based on their individual meal plans so they don't book seating at a restaurant that has limited or poor food choices for their condition. I think it would also be nice to have it as a pocket reference for snacks on the go when your in the parks. I'm rather hard on myself and have been keeping strict control of my condition by sticking to my diet.


So... I'm always looking for nutritional labels from prepackaged foods/snacks. Ingredient lists and portion sizes from restaurants that can be used to estimate carb choices to generate the list.
