  • Week after Christmas ?'s

    Hey all-

Well, this is year will be our 3rd trip to WDW the week between Christmas and New Year's! (Yes, we are crazy)! This year however, we are doing it a little different in that we are not spending all our time at the parks!! We will be arriving on Christmas day and leaving Jan. 3rd. What are the best days to go? I doubt we will brave New years eve (last two years were just crazy, as we have youngsters!) We plan on spending 3 or 4 days at the parks and the other days doing "other things". Has anyone ever gone to the ICE exhibit at the Gaylord Palms? just wondering if that is worth the time!!??

    Thanks!!!

The ICE exhibit was nice, but I think i'm more of a parks person.

Out of the days of your trips, going to the parks on any days will be crowded, but visit the park you have the most to do in on January 1st. You will pretty much have your run of the park from opening until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Also, crowds should be a wee bit lighter on your last two days.

If you wish for a good New Year's Eve experience, go watch MK's fireworks from the Grand Floridian Resort. You won't have to fight the crowds, and you'll get an excellent view of the show.

I also would advise you to listen to our podcast (more info on this at wdwnewstoday.com) in the coming weeks. We will have a few experts on the show to talk about visiting during this busiest of season.

      Hope i have been helpful.
