Christmas Tree up Nov 1 at Epcot

The Christmas tree was up and lit at night yesterday, November 1st.

If you think this is an early start, I agree! But apparently the guests couldn't get enough of their holiday decorations at Epcot last year. Considering the Halloween decorations are coming down at Magic Kingdom and Christmas goes up. Decorations also start appaearing at Animal Kingdom while the Disney-MGM Studios hosts the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights starting November 13th.

It's amazing how we completely skip over Thanksgiving!

However, I guess they can't really put a large turkey up to decorate and I would appreciate getting to see the decorations if I was going to WDW this time of year!

Does anyone have photos to share so I can see what I will be missing? I'm sure the decorations will be taken down and in storage by the time I visit in January!

I'll get a handful of photos next week, but I plan to do a much fuller Christmas photo walk at the various parks and resorts this month.

cast members got their holiday packages mid October...now that's early!

Disney doesn't do much decoration wise for Thanksgiving. A little on the merch and food side, but other than that... nothing.

I recall that one going up earlier with SOL going on as well. It's just sad that it's outside of the park. Always makes me sad to see.

christmas time is the only time I really dispise that hat. It would look so much better to have the tree right where the hat is oh well we can only hope that someone takes pitty on the park and spreads some disney magic over it. It has so much potential but really needs help
