  • What kind of snacks qualify on dining plan

I noticed in the stuff I printed that it mentions fruit, popcorn, sodas, etc. Let's get to the important stuff....is the Dole Whip covered? Oh and where exactly do you get a Dole Whip? Are they available in all 4 parks or only at certain places? What's better the Dole Whip or the Dole Float?

What is your favorite snack to get with your dining plan snack and where do you get it?

There were full sized bags of Smartpop and Tostitos on the dining plan (as far as snacks) at the Pop Century.

As I understood it when I used the DDP, anything up to $ 4 qualifies including anything from the hotels/etc.

In fact I ended up with a bunch of unused snacks the last day and bought a bunch of cookies from the Yacht club gift shop

This is an excellent question, and I was about to post a similar one. I heard that snacks on the DDP are governed by a price range? Does anyone know exactly how that works?

And perhaps most importantly, can I get Figaro Fries with the DDP? And what exactly does it count as? Thanks!

Ah, I guess that's my answer. Thanks!

That isn't exactly correct. Like, the ice cream at France doesn't count. The tea during the Food and Wine Festival at England didn't either. But you'll see DDP on anything that is included.

              Some of our snacks included:
Espresso and Muffin in Animal Kingdom(one snack credit each)

Warm cinnamon buns from Main Street(we got these at least two times!)

And to answer your question, YES! Dole Whip Floats outside of The Jungle Cruise
It's actually "Cars Land", not "Carsland".

Dole Whips are available at Aloha Isle (located just inside of Adventureland) in the Magic Kingdom and also at Disney's Polynesian Resort at Captain Cook's.

I think I'm the only person who doesn't like Dole Whips. I had my first one at Disneyland this year and was like "eh!"

That disney dining plan is dangerous! All that food.. I used my snack points up pretty well you can even use them for drinks. You will be doing lots of walking at Disney World so you might not gain weight.. When I did that dining plan I could not finish any meal it was way too much food

I agree! I took MANY meals home with me to put in the freezer after my 11 night free dine stay. I am very fortunate to be local.

Something to keep in mind for next year-a number of items from the Food and Wine festival are also covered on the DDP. I want to say they would count as a snack item but don't quote me (unless I am right).

Yes, snack plan for most non-alcohol items (as long as they continue with that).

I did this last year, saving up all of my snack credits (6) for the F&W Fest. It really worked out great. Not all items counted as snacks, but they had at least one in each booth that qualified. I munched for free, and then purchased the wine one little tiny glass at a time. It made for a totally terrific meal (I even made it 2/3 of the way around the World Showcase!!!).

                              I'm slightly confused. xD
Is this for the Disney College Program?
And you can get a dining plan?

And I must say, that it's not a trip to Disney if I don't get a Dole Whip. hehe.
For certain you must be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was.

No sorry not the college program, the Disney Dining Program is a add on for Disney resort guests where for a set fee you get one Table Service, One Counter Service and one "snack" per person per night.

It can be if you learn how to work the system to get your money's worth, and it has resulted in Table service restaurants becoming extremely busy. The "old" system from about 10 or so years ago was IMO much better since you could basically eat anywhere you wanted to and not limited to one of each per night of stay... Even the Wishes (~4-5 years ago) where more flexible and allowed you to manage your meals better. (Some folks prefer CS vs TS for all meals or vice versa, etc.)
