Thanks for the pictures, Denise. The place looks amazing (the architecture and the artifacts). You're so lucky to be able to go on opening day and see Mr. Rhode.
Great Pics Denise, did you get to try the food there?.
I don't know if it would appeal to me, being such a picky eater, but it looks great!.
Thanks so much for collecting the pins for me yesterday and today, i have sent you an email.

Yes - I have photos of what I ate. The maple tamarind chicken (very good) and a salad with mango tea.
It was my pleasure getting the pins, I actually had a very nice day. Tons of walking, plenty of photos and deer. I received your email, that is REALLY great of you to get so many goodies!!! Thanks! And Laurie (who I had lunch with today) mentioned that she saw the pins at DD, so I did get the last 3 there. It saved me an hour or so.

No problem
I'm pleased to hear that you had a nice day(shame the resort decorations were not up though). The Gingerbread house at GF looks really nice, i might pop over there and have a look when i go, i am getting more exited about my trip every day!:yea:
I have been looking forward to this report all week! Thanks, Denise, for giving us a first look at this much-needed facility. We are on the verge of pinning down our plans for January, so I will be calling for PS in the next day or two.
Denise, thanks for this terrific photo update! The details in the restaurant look amazing! Many items on the menu look wonderful, but the one thing that stood out was the Yak Attack. LOL! I feel that will be a must-try drink for me whenever I'm back in Orlando.
How very cool that you had a Joe Rohde sighting!!! I'm jealous, but in a good way. And I had no idea there was going to be a gift store attached. Some of those t-shirt designs look wicked cool to me. No doubt I'll drop a few dollars in the store too. Thanks again for the wonderful pictures!
I usually wait to see things myself when I know I soon will, but I couldn't help myself with this one. I've recently learned that Imagineers went through and okay'd the design for all of this but it was done a lot with Laundry's.
Great photos. I looked at your pics on Mousesteps too. Usually I am not one for vegetables, but the ones your friend got looked really good. Of course I would probably have to get the chicken you had.

Two managers I spoke with said that it was a Landrys design team who did quite a bit of the work. I found it hard to believe (as the design is incredible), I have no idea who did what on the building! But it is beautiful, and I love all the artifacts.
