  • Disney World’s Worst Attraction May Finally Be Closing for Good

Did anyone else see this report from MSN? Do you think it's true? Opinions?

This wouldn't surprise me if Disney was going to do so. Stitch's Great Escape already operates on a seasonal basis, and even on busy days, rarely creates waits. The attraction itself is not only dated, but this is an attraction that already has trouble even identifying who it's for. It's too scary for very little kids and kids above eight are only going to see it as boring (this is from a generation that plays Five Nights at Freddy's for a real scare). It's certainly not going to cater to adults (that already happened with The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter).

I'd rather that Disney close this and replace it. Maybe another Alien Encounter, maybe something else Disney based, or a new attraction completely.

It's surprising, that it lasted a decade. It was a bad decision, as it also undermines Stitch and the franchise. Stitch, is protrayed as a villian and not as a hero. Add in cheap and gross-out humor. The one good thing about the ride was the Stitch AA.

I finding interesting how a lot of items are now on chopping block or have been torn down for expansion. I wonder if Iron Man will move in, as he's not in Universal.

I didn't mind Stitch's Great Escape so much. I thought it was alright, but I won't really miss it. What I will miss, however, is another attraction that helped eat up crowds and gave more to do at the Magic Kingdom, and Tomorrowland specifically. Therefore, my only real concern is will they put in an attraction, or a gift shop, or just leave it vacant? Obviously, I want to see a new attraction put there. And while we're at it, please make it a good attraction. Fun and creative, and worth whatever the wait will be.

No matter where you go, there you are.

Please bring back S.I.R., he's no doubt my favorite part of AE. Wish I saw it in person. I did SGE in June 2016 and liked Sarge, but still.

All I remember of this attraction is someone IMMEDIATELY bailing out of it as things started, I think because a kid was freaking out and needed to be exited. And how dark and confusing everything was. Also... Stitch isn't supposed to be scary.
