  • Lights of Winter on yet?

I was planning to go in a few days to take photos, but I noticed as I was on the monorail (at 12:30am this morning, which is a fantastic time to be on a monorail in Epcot!) that they were on. I didn't know if they were on all night, or just being practice lit! If they are on, I will be down there tomorrow anyway at AK with family and can stop by afterwards.

I took more castle photos yesterday, but I'm in the kitchen all day cooking for visting family - and need to also add a new section to the website for Christmas photos and night photos too. That was never planned for the site.

And if TDLFan reads this - you should come by for dinner one night! I love cooking for people.

The ASDA meal sounds great! I wonder if Waitrose or M/S does a similar?

I'm making homemade bread, marinaded flank steak, salad, baby red roasted potatoes, steamed vegetables and hot fudge cake and 3 milk cake for dessert. I think that is it!
Its fun, even with the cleanup afterwards. Hopefully I'll have my pics up by tomorrow, plus the Lights of Winter if they are really up. It's been really busy this week, with family here (horrible, I keep having to drive down to Disney!) I get to give the car a rest tonight.

I think most of the larger stores do some kind of christmas meal but the Asda one is the best one i've had by far, very tasty!. I'm not sure on Waitrose as we don't have one in our area and i don't think i've even been to one before.
The meal you are doing sounds very nice, i felt quite hungry just reading about it and i've only just had my dinner!, it sounds delicious, especially the hot fudge cake!. Is it thanksgiving today?.
Enjoy your meal and i'll look out for the pics tommorrow

No, Thanksgiving is later this week. I offered to cook, but other family members wanted to eat out instead (we are going to Shades of Green). They don't cook at home nor were interested in eating anything but restaurant food.

Last night my sister and her family and I went to the Tomorrowland Noodle Station. I'd heard such bad things about it, but we all liked the food. Not so much Bongos, I'd not heard good things about it either - and those reviews were more correct! But the rice was good.

I have read many bad reviews about the Tommorrowland noodle station too but i do believe that sometimes it pays to give the benefit of the doubt and try it to make your own opinion of a place, it obviously paid off for you, i'm glad you enjoyed it there.
Just out of curiosity, have you ever tried the dinners at Liberty Tree Tavern or Garden grill?, we have reservations for both and aparently the dinner at LTT is meant to be like a traditional thanksgiving dinner and that's why we booked to go there but i have heard good and bad about it.

Tomorrowland Noodle Station is never open whenever I visit the parks.

I had spagetti, my BIL had beef and broccoli, and my sister had some sort of chicken dish. We all liked the food! It should be open more often, it's much better (IMHO) than Cosmic Rays.

I went once to the Garden Grille after it changed to an all-you-can eat with characters and haven't been back since. It used to be my favorite place to eat at Epcot (years ago).

I have yet to have a bad meal at the Liberty Tree Tavern. I love their lunch! Dinner is good too. I've never seen really bad reviews, but I always enjoy their turkey.

ASDA is like Wal Mart in the UK (with good reason, Wal Mart owns ASDA).

I have almost everything ready, I'm just steaming veggies and broiling the steak. When I joined my family for Bongos the other day, they were REALLY looking forward to the 3 milk cake. I had never had it, but I wanted to surprise them (since they were disappointed with the one at the restaurant). I hate saying it, but my cake tastes SO good.

What is a 3 milk cake?, i have never heard of it, must be an american thing.
I always say you can't beat home made cakes, you can definetly taste the difference between a home made one and one bought from a shop.

I'm guessing that's the Tres Leches (3 milk) cake that is very popular in Mexico (and in California too!). It's kind of too wet for me, hehe.

Yes, that is it. Condensed, evaporated, regular milk (or you can substitute coconut milk, etc.). It was really good, I'd never had it before! And definitely very wet. I had no idea how it should be, but they said it was perfect. My BIL had 3 servings, so I guess it was fine!

And I guess I'll just park at Epcot tomorrow, and get the bus back after AK and see if the lights are on. :0)

WOW, Thanks! I'd love that. Of course, my itinerary over the holidays is just crazy so I will have to take you up on that offer after the new year at some point. My working schedule is so messed up that I won't even be able to go to HKDL for their christmas event this year and I am bummed out about it. In the meantime, check my TDR Xmas photos, up now in the Tokyo page!
