  • Happy birthday WDW!

On this day in 1971, Walt Disney World Resort opened in Orlando, Florida and the price of a general admission ticket was $3.50 per person — adjusted for inflation, that would be about $21 today.
“Not the least hard thing to bear when they go from us, these quiet friends, is that they carry away with them
so many years of our own lives.”

Bring back ticket books! And Main Gate admission only. They were the only things that would control the crowds. Once they started 100% "Passports"...everything "E" ticket was mobbed...I'd rather go through the Sleeping Beauty Walkthrough for an A than a Monorail ride for an E. But...that's just me. ...And bring back the "Junior" pricing too...why not?
