  • Any Giselle Sightings?

ORWEN: Hello to all you enchanted little ducklings out there in the MiceChat pond! Us Cauldron girls finally got around to conjuring up the latest fantasy film from the Disney studios--while gazing deep into our crystal ball tonight--and we LOVED it! But now, of course, I just HAVE to track down Giselle so I can let her know how much I loved her and her movie! Has anybody seen her at any of the Disney parks in Florida? If so, do tell!

ORGOCH: 'Course, if'n ya really cares anything 't all 'bout this silly giz-smell person, ya won't breath a word ta Orwen 'bout it cause it'll just end up embarrassin' the daylights out a the prissy little thing--whilst Orwen goes an' makes a dang fool a herself over yet ANOTHER Dizzy gal--just like she always does!!

(Sounds of slaps and claps followed by moans and groans...)

ORDDU: (Ahem!) So, as my dear sister Orwen was saying, if you happen to know the whereabouts of Giselle and would even like to share your own experiences of what it was like to meet her, please feel free to do so. Let us know at which parks she has been seen. And always let your hearts be enchanted!!!

ORWEN: Okay, it's been a few days since we first asked the question about Giselle. We hope that--by now--somebody out there has seen her.

ORDDU: A cast member mentioned that he thought the most likely place to find Giselle would be at Disney Hollywood Studios--formerly known as Disney M-G-M Studios. But we haven't swooped down into that park lately.

The only Giselle I've heard about recently is the prop car from Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo. It was recenlty located and completely restored to film specs.

ORWEN: Well, that's just awful, sailerm, duckling!! Are you saying Giselle was a car in another life, who was then brought back to be reincarnated into a human Disney heroine?!

I know she is in the pre parade at the studios but I haven't heard if she is doing meets and greets. I can't imagine the poor girl having to stand around meeting people in that enormous dress. but I have to admit she would make a beautiful addition to the animation building

ORWEN: Thank you cmash95, duckling! I just KNEW she had to be out somewhere. And some day, somehow, I've just GOT to have a dress like hers!!!

ORGOCH: What fer? So's ya can wear in on yer big, fat head like a chef's hat? That's the only part of ya it's gonna fit on, ya know!!

              Re: Any Giselle Sightings?

So, do you think we'll start seeing Giselle participate in parades and other shows alongside the more established and 100% animated princesses like Cinderella and Snow White? I mean... I am not sure I want a live-action Disney Princess sharing the spot light with the animated ones, even if Giselle does have a bit of an animated beginning in the film.

                Re: Any Giselle Sightings?

ORWEN: Well, I have no problem with Giselle being accepted along with all the other princesses. Who says you have to be animated in order to be accepted into the Disney Character family?

ORDDU: And this comes from three kindly old ladies who, themselves, are 'toons! And what about Mary Poppins? Do you have a problem with her always being included in the mix of other Disney characters--who are predominantly animated? A witch would hope not.

ORWEN: And what about little Pete when he's hanging out with his favorie dragon?
The thing about Disney fantasies is that they don't discriminate against each other. Whether flesh and blood or a 'toon, all are welcome within the House that Uncle Walt built.

There is absolutely no reason that she has to wear the wedding dress. Giselle does wear other items throughout the film.

The blue dress from "How do you know" song is pretty nice.

It would not surprise me if it's less than coincidence.

                        Re: Any Giselle Sightings?

:yes the blue dress is nice but if you go with tradition, cindy is in her ballgown and belle is either in her holiday dress or her gold gown, you do sometimes see belle in her everyday attire but not snow white or cinderella. In the parade she is wearing the white dress with the tiara and has her hair all piled high, so my assumption is that if she would be doing meet and greets at some point that is what she would be wearing. I have to admit I read on another site however that right now they only have two copies of that dress made and ready to go at WDW. I guess they don't want to invest too much time or money in case the character doesn't take off. of course she could be on the streets of america in a copy of the blue number doing meets and greets or have her at the pirate and princess parties. just a thought
but witches you have to remember she might be a little skittish around you three. remember it was an ummm older hag that pushed her into the well in the first place and eventhough everything turned out ok in the end.... there could be some bad memories there. not that you three would mean her any harm.

ORWEN: The white ball gown really does seem to be the outfit that most identifies Giselle, if you ask me. The movie poster they used for promotions has her wearing it so I think she should really wear it in the parks. It's also the prettiest of everything she gets to wear.

a bit off topic but i read that the gown weighed between 30 and 40 pounds depending on if it was wet or dry and amy adams had a very tough time dealing with it. but I have to admit she did look gorgeous in it.

ORGOCH: Hmph! So the dang dress weighed more 'n the prissy little princess could handle, eh? Guess that's the price ya pays fer gittin' yerself all gussied up fer nothin'! All them Dizzy gals--Snow Ball, Cindersmelly, Snoozin' Floosie, Belle-hop, the Little Meter Maid 'n Jazzy-mine--all oughtta know, by now, ya cain't go on a decent frog hunt when yer wearin' all that goody-goody frostin' that's 'nuff ta give a normal gal--like me--diabetes!!!!
