All Star Movies???

How nice are the All Star Movies? I’ve heard some not so nice reviews about the resorts. Btw I have reservations at All star Movies in Early September. Labor Day Week to be exact

I went in 2006 wit my mom and sister, the place looks good wit the giant figure and the pool is large, you get good choice at the foodcourt, the rooms are kind of small but clean, the hotel is big so you might have to walk a lot to get to your room or the lobby, since it's a budget hotel be prepared to ran into big groups of kids, teens or families that can get noisy at any hours
Of the WDW hotels I have stayed the most calmed and quiet is Port Orleans Riverside, there were fewer kids and teens, the oposite of All Star Movies

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it has all the necessary amenities one needs from a WDW hotel, imho, which is basically a food court and transportation.
that said, in my opinion, what the All Star hotels lacked was the type of theming I personally like. I know they have theming, such as movies, sports, music, but the themes are presented with big, in your face representations of the themes. My personal taste is that I prefer the type of theming that takes you to another time and place, like Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach, But that’s just me.

Personally, I am not a huge fan of the resort. The rooms and amenities are fine, but I personally find the theming to be a little below Disney standards. However, if you are on a tight budget and staying at a Disney resort is a priority, then you will have a great time.

I agree. Sadly lets be honest. They are the "poor persons" hotel. They work if you want a bed, some transportation, some food, and be in the Disney area but there's nothing really magical about them. Most of the higher priced hotels have wonderful areas you can just walk around and find relaxation, fun, and sights. There isn't a whole lot to see here, just your basic hotel with big statues or signs.

That being said I can barley afford to even stay here now. So if you just want to be on site and need a bed and feel a prequel to the magic, these hotels are just fine.
