When do you think WDW's theme parks (excluding water parks) will re-open?

I'd bet on Monday, August 3 for Walt Disney World's four parks,

and Monday, September 8 (the day after Labor Day) for Disneyland's two parks.

I’ve been hearing some rumblings about the beginning of July. I’m sure they’re hoping for at least Magic Kingdom open (with very limited capacity) for 4th of July...but this sounds to be the most optimistic of timelines. Not impossible, as Florida’s restrictions are gradually being lifted and businesses are beginning to open (albeit with many modifications), but when looking at Disney’s approach with Shanghai, while they are of course working closely with local governments to make game plans, Disney will most likely still take an even more cautious approach, even if granted more wiggle room.

There is concern about having enough CMs to open all 4 of the parks. With the furloughs, dismissals of DCPers etc, a lot of CMs have had to move out of Orlando because they couldn’t afford to stick around. Out of everything, if a park needs to get an even longer delay, it will be EPCOT. But there’s no doubt in my mind that they would want EPCOT back open by the Food and Wine Festival. How that would operate more mindfully, on the other hand...

I think MK will be open by July 4th. I could see it opening sooner, but not too confident. DAK/DHS will likely follow based on demand, meaning if MK is consistently hitting its new lower capacity daily then they will open. Epcot needs the international CMs, and international travel is a long way out, so I am not sure when it will open.

I just got this message from Universal Orlando:

We’re Getting Ready to Re-open Universal Orlando Resort is opening to a limited capacity on June 5th. We’re excited to announce that our gates are about to reopen. Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay will welcome guests beginning June 5th. This carefully managed reopening comes with stringent new health, safety and hygiene procedures in place. So, as we enjoy our parks and hotels together again, everyone will need to follow CDC guidelines and the recommendations of health officials, and Universal Orlando’s policies.

Everyone is required to wear a face covering during their visit.

Temperature checks will be required upon arrival, and guests with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater will not be admitted.

Practice social distancing and keep at least 6 feet (2 meters) between your travel party and others.

Wash your hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds.

Yes, there are more rules to follow now—but to play together, we also need to work together for the safety and health of all our guests and team members.
