  • Restored promo film of WDW in the early 1970s.

My family drove down to Florida from the Midwest every summer starting in 1972 (I was 7), the first summer WDW opened after its Oct., '71 opening,
and spent one day at the Magic Kingdom as part of a Florida vacation spent mostly at a beach. One day at the MK was a normal WDW visit for many guests back then, as one day was typical at Disneyland in its first 35 years till DCA opened.

I wish I could time travel to WDW in the summers of '72 through '76. This movie might be as close as I'll get to that.

I think the simpler Cinderella's Castle was more beautiful back then.

In my rarely asked for opinion, the extra gold on (or coming in) it for the 50th looks like it was approved by the late Liberace or Trump.
