  • Tentative - MK and AK to reopen on 7/11, and Epcot and DHS to reopen on 7/15

Walt Disney World just released their tentative reopening plans. I am pretty sure they will require face masks to be worn all day. That would prevent me from going. No, it's not because I refuse to wear a mask. It's simply because wearing a mask in 95 degree heat with 80 percent humidity would be miserable. It can't be healthy.

Good luck to all those willing to deal with the new restrictions.

I plan on going there in September. But cannot wear a mask all day, I’m hoping the restrictions lessen by then so I can still go, been planning this trip for over a year.

I'm impressed with Walt Disney World for waiting over four weeks to open its four theme parks
after Universal Orlando opens their two theme parks.

Feel free to not answer this because it's none of my business, but why can't you wear a mask all day?

This was in a CNN article today about going to Disney World in July:

"Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious diseases specialist at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee...said anyone in the following groups should give very careful consideration to making a trip to Disney World...
        -- Senior citizens
-- People with chronic, underlying illnesses
-- People with heart and lung conditions
        -- People who are immunocompromised
-- People with high blood pressure and diabetes.
        "

If you do go in September, have a nice trip! I'm kind of jealous since I expect that attractions will have short waits.

Just FYI, Sea World Orlando just initiated their reservation system. I started a thread about it in the "Sea World Orlando" section. I'm a little surprised that more people here aren't discussing this as it should be a preview of how WDW's system might work. It looks like most or all of the days are still available, though I'm aware that Sea World is not Disney.

With covid cases surging in Florida, I'm wondering if WDW will postpone its theme park reopenings.

OH! Who know when the park will work again?

Florida’s new #s of cases are through the roof. NO theme park should be reopening for a longtime! This is nuts .... and just welcoming more people to get sick and die!

Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.
