  • anyone having any luck getting Le Cellier reservations?

I tried to make a reservation when my friend came down here and October and I was told that they were book solid through Oct, Nov, and Dec. I'm going to try again soon but I wanted to see if my hopes are pointless.

You really need to call 6 months ahead for Le Cellier now. They book faster than any other restaurant. Le Cellier has been a favorite of mine for many, many years - but I had 2 mediocre meals there in September, and have no plans to go back anytime soon.

There could end up being a cancellation, but I'd go ahead and book something else (and you can keep trying if you want). The restaurants - all of them - will be even more full due to Candlelight. But generally, you need to book many months out for Le Cellier, another restaurant that is hard to get is Ohana.

having to book a meal at ANY WDW eatery six months in advance is beyond absurd ... and I enjoy Le Cellier a lot.

My advice: go to either Yachtsman Steakhouse or Shula's Steakhouse for a better, more upscale experience (and you won't need to book six month ahead of time), go to Concourse Steakhouse (at least before it closes for good next spring) for a similar quality meal where you can actually walk up most days and get seated, or go off-site and get a decent (and much more reasonably priced) meal at either Outback or Lone Star.

I'm not trying to look for anything upscale. I'm just trying to prepare for the holiday rush. Mainly I'm looking for good low priced places in the parks where I can make a reservation, especially Epcot. I think my friend and I will probably be there for the evening events. I will probably book lunch at Tutto Italia but I dunno what to do about dinner. I didnt want to go anywhere too standard like Teppan Endo or Nine Dragons (Ive been to both and neither offered anything new beyond what restaraunts like Mark Pi's China Gate or Benihana already offered at the same-lower price). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (though I doubt my friend would be interested in eating at Marakesh).

I'm also considering reservations at Tusker House or Yak & Yeti at DAK.

I don't think of Le Cellier as all that different, if you are comparing to Teppan Edo (vs. what you can get anywhere else off-property).

If I wanted something a little more unique, I'd probably go with Marrakesh. There are a lot of solid choices on property, depending on what type of food you are looking for. Boma also - again, a more unique experience, compared with Le Cellier or Teppan Edo (though I really like the latter, and would go there before nearly anywhere else).
