  • Bad Weather! (Hail, Funnel Clouds and Rain!)

I think I'm the bad weather chick!

I've been watching the news for hours, there have been funnel clouds in Brevard and Groveland, as well as hail in a variety of areas. I don't think the really bad weather has hit yet though (definitely not in Orlando).

As I've mentioned before - some of our worst weather is not in hurricane season! I was thinking of going to the parks tomorrow, but I'll wait until Thursday.

The worst is supposed to be overnight. Hope everyone stays safe (today wouldn't have been a good day at the parks).

It rained here in Clearwater but hasn't done anything else. Brandon & Plant City got hit the hardest.

South part of the state got it good today/tonight too. Monsooned pretty well around 4pm-ish

We were luckily able to avoid all the rain yesterday. I'm not sure how we did it, but we didn't get wet at all. After the fireworks at MK, the rain was horrific. We watched it sheet off the roof of the Wilderness Lodge for what seemed like hours.

I don't think there was any major storms in the WDW area though like the news was projecting.

Our area (Orlando and probably Disney) got off really well. I'm so glad. The weather was awful in Cocoa Beach and elsewhere with the tornadoes and such.

It actually is my intention to point out bad weather, in part because people are so worried about hurricane season (which actually is from July - November). Although nobody every seems concerned once the Food and Wine arrives (which is never believe the crowds in September are weather related, as kids are back in school at that point). We had some of our roughest weather last year in the winter, and this year was pretty crazy too.
