First Stop in Magic Kingdom

I'm planning a trip to Disney World this summer with my family and was just curious about where everyone heads first when they arrive at the park. What's your favorite ride/attraction?

It has to be the Haunted Mansion for my family. I think my little guy could ride it eight times in a row and still find something new to be excited about everytime.

We first go to either Mickey's Phillhare Magic, or the Cinderella Carosel (My sister loves the carosel). We like to head to fantasyland first because it is the only land my entire family likes. I'm the only one who likes tomorrowland. But we also like to stop at that store with Mickey on the Beanstalk coming out of the window right next to Phillhare as soon as we get there as well.

I have to say its Big Thunder, get a FP for it and then I stop at HM. (I love Big Thunder).

It's never one thing, it depends on what our goal is for the day.

Usually it's getting an FP for Space, Splash or Big Thunder. Or if we've gone for EMH in the morning it's straight to FL to ride Pan, Snow White and Pooh.

Haunted Mansion is a great place to start. Or go to a ride that is normally crowded like Space Mountain or if it's warm enough, Splash.

Straight to Peter Pan for either a ride or a fastpass, depending on what time we drag ourselves out of bed that day. After waiting 2 hours on our first trip to ride Pan, we vowed to only fastpass it from now on.

People Mover here also. In Disneyland it'd often be the Main Street Cinema.

We hit Dumbo first. It builds long waits and does not use fast pass.

It depends upon the time of day. Usually it's later in the day so the first stop is usually at Casey's for food or Main Street for the Dapper Dans. :geek:

We try to get there right when it opens and head to the castle for a family shot. If you get there early enough, there will be noone in the background. Then we head for the Buzz Lightyear ride. (I have two boys, 8 and 12.)

What a great idea!! We will be going to dumbo first and fastpassing peter pan, for this trip.

The first thing we go on when we get to the park is either big thunder mountain or splash mountain, then we meet up with mom and go on some fantasyland rides.

I guess my first ride is always PoC or Jungle Cruise. See, in all my trips to MK, we walk up Main Street take it all in and take pics of the castle. Then we always head for Adventureland first and head clockwise around the park!

We like to hit Space Mountain or Splash Mountain when we first arrive. Although if we have newbies/first-timers with us, we take the train around the park. Something about the sound of the train's bell and the smell of the train that brings back fun memories of my childhood! I like to save POTC for the afternoon. On a hot day, it's a GREAT place to hide from the sun! I wanna go back to Disney!!!

Fantasyland. You can ride everything in the first hour you are there. These are some of my favorite rides in the whole park, but the longer you wait for them the less magical they tend to seem.

Considering we usually arrive at WDW mid-afternoon, we always head straight for the MK and Casey's for a dog, fries and soda. No better way to start a WDW vacation.
