  • What was your First Ride at WDW or Earliest Memory?

Our Fellow West Coast Disney Fans are currently doing this. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST RIDE AT WDW OR EARLIEST MEMORY??? I'll go first.
My first ride was Pirates of the Caribbean. (Great First Ride, Right?)
My earliest memory is hearing the Dapper Dans singing on Main Street.

Now it's YOUR turn! Let's take a walk down memory lane!

Well, I didn't start going to WDW until I was 17! (sad but true). My most vivid memory is the big pink birthday cake castle.

Some people never make it to Disney World! I do remember the Pink Cake quite vividly! I thought it was awesome but many a micechatter will tell you it was a monstrousity! (?)

I have yet to visit WDW yet. I will get there - someday!

The World Famous Jungle Cruise. Disneyland tradition dictated that our first attraction be Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Walking into Adventureland we found ourselves face-to-face with an opening later in the day Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management. In the interim we enjoyed the Jungle Cruise, and then were severely disappointed that the sister of what had always started our days at Disney was so lousy.

Well, considering all that was there in 1978 was the Magic Kingdom....

Not sure what ride was first, maybe WEDWay Peoplemover, but I vividly remember the Mickey Mouse Revue. I remember during the Three Caballeros scene, Panchito's pistols scared me (hey, I was 3!) and at the end, I hollered in a dead quiet theatre, "MICKEY! MICKEY! DON'T GOOOOO!"

I was 4 on my first trip, so, like aimster, I'm not sure what my first ride was. I do remember being afraid of the HM. I also remember falling asleep before the MSEP and being awoken by the sounds of the parade.

Wow, I don't know what my first ride was honestly, I was too little to remember but my earliest memory would probably have to be walking in and seeing Mickey for the first time ever.

See back then he didn't have a dedicated place to visit him so it was luck that you caught him in the park, he used to get mobbed so bad. LOL But I remember him taking the time to pat me on the head and hug me before the picture.

I was so star struck! LOL I have a photo of it, was my avatar for awhile.

                          Shoot, I voted wrong.

My first ride was Tower of Terror at DHS, not a ride at MK.

First ride at MK was Peoplemover. EPCOT was Test Track. DAK was Everest.

The Magic Kingdom was my first park - it was the only Orlando Disney park open at the time.

I don't know what my first ride was. I have many memories of rides, attractions, food, the Polynesian Resort (where we always stayed) etc. from back then. I used to have a photo of the 5th anniversary parade from the MK. I do remember Space Mountain, I rode that a LOT when I was a kid. Also If You Had Wings.
