  • [Question] Bus service to parks from non-Disney hotels

Just curious how the bus service is to WDW theme parks from the non Disney hotels. We have been happy with the bus schedules at various Disney hotels but how are the schedules for the non Disney hotels? Do they run every 1/2 hour or hour? Where is the dropoff? Same parking area? Thinking of staying at the Buena Vista Suites.

You might want to call the hotel directly with your questions as they would probably know best. I do know that shuttle service for several off-property hotels has one or two pickups in the morning and one or two in the afternoon. That's it. They don't run as frequently as the Disney run buses on property. Plus some shuttles are shared between several hotels in a particular area (like the hotels on Palm Parkway).

I'm curious about this as well, since I go to WDW fairly often and it would be nice to stay in a hotel that partners with my frequent flyer program. Anyone out there have any specifics about non-Disney hotel shuttles, or about non-Disney hotels that are walking distance to Downtown Disney?

The hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd near Downtown Disney have their own bus service to the parks. I don't think it runs as frequently as the official Disney owned hotels bus service, but I could be wrong. Your best bet on specifics is to call the hotels you're interested in as they'll be your best bet in getting the info you need.

FWIW, I've stayed at the Hilton, Royal Plaza and Wyndham (when it was The Grosvenor), but never used the bus service for those hotels as I'm technically a "local" (from the Tampa area), so I always just use my own car (and since I have an AP, parking is a non-issue for me).
