  • [Question] Disney fan from The Netherlands is searching for answers

Hello Everybody, Please excuse my less than perfect Englisch but i live in The Netherlands so i am not used to speaking ore writing Englisch.
We (my son of 6, my wife and i) are planning to visit Orlando but we have some questions on which we have not been able to find an answer yet, please help ;-)
We are planning on visiting from 25 april 2014 to 09 May 2014

    - How crowded is it in Disney World in this period?
    - Is a Disney Hotel worth the extra money? (we are thinking of the Port Erleans resort), what are the advantages of a Disney Hotel?
    - Do we need to rent a car if we want to gon anywhere else ore is there a way of public transportation?)
    - Is the Disney Dining plan something we should do?

Thank you very much for reading this post and maybe trying to help us

How crowded is it in Disney World in this period?
It could be crowded. Most schools are done with spring break by then. Easter 2014 is April 21, so you'll luckily be missing those holiday crowds as well. But it's always good to be prepared just in case.

Is a Disney Hotel worth the extra money? (we are thinking of the Port Erleans resort), what are the advantages of a Disney Hotel?
That all depends on your own perspective. When you stay on Disney property, you can use the bus system to travel to the parks (and Downtown Disney).

Do we need to rent a car if we want to gon anywhere else ore is there a way of public transportation?)
It might be your cheapest option if you plan on visiting other parks like Universal, Sea World or whatever else Orlando has to offer (shopping, dining, etc.). Your other option would be to hire a taxi, but that can get expensive.

Is the Disney Dining plan something we should do?
That depends on how much you eat. If you eat a full meal, including appetizers and dessert, then the dining plan might be worth your while. If you don't eat a lot, then it would be a waste.
