  • Anyone Looking for a Database Analyst/Engineer?

    Hi everyone,

Pardon my self-promotion, but hey - this is what the Outpost is for, and I might as well take a shot at it.

I'm looking for a new job. I'm very upset with my company and things aren't looking any better, so I'm pulling up my anchor, ready to set sail to new opportunities.

I'm looking for a Database Analyst/Engineer (or equivalent) position, with 4 years of experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, Visual Basic, and user requirements for software development.

If any of you know of a company that needs someone like me, please send me a PM! I'd really appreciate *any* leads, even if they seem like less than what I'm looking for.

    Thanks!

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Re: Anyone Looking for a Database Analyst/Engineer?

Thanks for that link!! I'm looking through those next.

Actually, I just got some job matches through Monster, and have sent off about 10 resumes so far. And two of the jobs, I'd literally do backflips for - one pays $40 an hour for exactly what I do now.... and the other is tech support for Square Enix that makes Final Fantasy, etc. :yea:

      Wish me luck!!!!!

(But, please folks.... still keep your ears open for any tech leads. And if I get a job through anyone's lead, I'll buy you a full day at Disneyland - admission and meals, and a churro or Dole Whip.)

Oh, and for why I'm upset - I've been doing all this fancy tech stuff for over 2 years with this office now, and they refuse to give me the job title to go with it, let alone the pay. My so-called "generous" raise just came through yesterday, giving me the exact same annual increase that Ken just received from TARGET. So, stick a fork in me - I'm done!!

        Good luck, DP!
Sorry that your current job's screwing you over so much!

And if I refer you and you work here for 3 months, I think, we both get a cold hard cash bonus Better than a Dole Whip
