Hey, I'll jump in here and ask! I'm shameless when it comes to doing stuff for my daughter! We made daddy take a collection box to work, so since Mommy spends so much time here, I'll try to take up a collection!
I am the Box Tops for Education coordinator for my daughters school and I have put out a challenge to the kids to see if they can find people other than mom & dad to collect Box Tops for them. Some of our students have already figured this out and as such we have the same class winning a lot of the challenges.
What are Box Tops? If you buy certain products - like General Mills cereals, ziploc bags, Betty Crocker stuff (potatoes, hamburger helper, certain cake items, fruit snacks) and yoplait kids yogurts to name a few - there is a little "coupon" on there that says "Box Tops for Education official Coupon". That little piece of paper is worth 10 cents to a school.
So, if you don't have kids, maybe for one week or month you could keep a ziploc bag on the side of your fridge, write BOX TOPS on it and save them. When the month is up, PM me and I'll get you the info for sending them to me. Why only a month? Because I'm not selfish - maybe some other Micechatters want to ask for the same thing for their kids' schools.
And for those of you that are saving them now for when your child or grandchild is in school, pay attention to the expiration dates! If it is after they start, they won't be much good to the school.
Thank you!!
