  • (DISNEYLAND) Anyway to get my friend in free tomorrow?

I'm desperate and this won't work I know but my friend needs to get into tomorrow night and she can't afford a ticket.. our best friend is flying in from England and having a get together there. My two cast member friends aren't working tomorrow and there is no other way to get my friend in, it's really causing her to be depressed and upset so I just wondered. Out of curiousity. It'd mean the world to her.

I'm at the point of begging for her.

you should go out the park and get ur hand stamped and quickly rub the stamp on her hand while the stamp is still wet, then go back inside and hand her the ticket from the gateway enterance and then she can get in. It's a crzy idea but its all i could come up with in so little time. Im not sure if it will work but its worth a try.

I don't have a ticket though I have an AP. You think if she had the handstamp and not a ticket they'd let her in? Ugh that's crazy, but we're desperate. Our friend coming has lost half his family in the last year and he's moving here because of us, it's a sad story trust me so we're trying to make him happy.

A Cast Member might be able to sign in your friend as their guest.

Between you, your friend, your friend from England, and all the others at the "get together"... you can't scrape together fifty bucks?? I don't think you're trying hard enough! Once you get to DLR, have your friend wait outside the gate (I assume you have a ticket or AP). You go inside to the group and beg $5 bucks a person because you have a penninless friend outside who wants to come in and enjoy the party! I'm sure they will help! And tell them your friend already has $15 or $20, they only have to make up the difference (come on, they can get that much, right??).

If they can't get that much together, maybe they should be doing something else besides thinking about spending the day at Disneyland!

coming from a former Main Entrance CM, I wouldn't recommend that. A, it doesn't work (the handstamp dries pretty quickly, and it'd be faint...plus, you'd think someone wouldn't notice the ticket being passed hand to hand over the gate? If the CM doesn't spot it, someone in the line will, and they'll squawk) and B, it could get your friend kicked out of the park, rather than let in.

I'd recommend either spotting her the money for a ticket between you and your friends, just this once, or her, you know, just not going. Tough, I know, but if she can't afford to go, that's the breaks.
I hope that when the world comes to an end, I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to.

                I agree with you JoanthanIT!

I've sacrificed so many lunches while at work..
Gone to my parents to do my laundry instead of at the laundrymat...
                Eaten only Top Ramen dinners...
Collected every bit of change I could find..
Given up the chance to see films in the theatre...
                Buy everything with generic labels...
Save all the coupons I could locate and use them religiously...
Shop for clothes at a thrift store...
Go to the library and rent free movies, checkout the latest books instead of buying...

I do everything I can to scrape together money for Disneyland and it makes it all worthwhile once I get there. Theres no greater joy than truly earning something, really working hard to achieve something makes the pleasure of reaching your goal indescribable.

This sounds like a good person from whom to borrow $53. (Be sure to pay it back!)

Marie: there are ways to make it work (handstamp)

Eaglewings: sorry, won't tell you because it's wrong. Best bet is looking for someone to sign you in or borrowing money.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
