  • No, really, there's something magical about Disneyland

Now living in Southern California, I recently rediscovered Disneyland's magical romantic side. I wrote an essay on the trip, which also has some tips for dates at Disneyland. Free free to add your ideas to the thread!

That was fantastic. Nice to see some positivity around here. Truly wonderful.

Taking new people is the funnest thing in the world. I can't wait to bring my family, they're going to think I'm the same 4 year old they took years back, except I'll know all the little stuff to do (like the Indy pole).

Very nicely done! And surprising as it might be, I agree with your premise that Disneyland truly holds a unique and amazingly real magic.

I don't think you'll find anyone here who agrees with you. We're all practical sorts. Hardened by reality, we are cold to the attempts by DL to warm our hearts, to make us smile. I tell you, if that Mickey guy tries to shake my hand one more time....

That was awesome! It made me smile to hear those stories. Because that's how I feel when I go to Disneyland (Though I've never had a guy to share it with, but someday, lol).
For certain you must be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was.

What a wonderful little piece you wrote. I loved how the student becomes the teacher and how you are all cosmically connected. It's awesome how Disneyland invented this magic that is shared and passed on through the ages, making it a timeless classic place to be. Thank you so much for sharing and I'd love to read more from you in the future.

That was awesome, I really appreciate you for writing something like that.
One time me and my buddy met these two girls in Disneyland... we spent the entire evening with them. It was truly magical. We rode the sun wheel together (while the fireworks were going) we rode the matterhorn... and so much more. Then at midnight... we hugged and they ran off to catch their ride. We'll never see them again! But it's strange how Disneyland can connect people... Me and my friend still talk about those girls and it's been over a year. It's weird to think about.

Very touching essay. You never appreciate something so much as when you can pass down some of the magic to someone else.
