  • Your favorite comics....

Everyday, I read Garfield, Luann, Rubes and Bob the Squirrel. Just wondering if anybody out there still enjoys reading the "funny pages" as much as I do. What are your favorites?

    Re: Your favorite comics....

Thats about the only part of the paper I like to read! But I don't get the paper anymore, so I don't get a chance to read them, and I forget that I can also find them online.

Garfield is good, I like Get Fuzzy, Drabble is usually cute, Opus (Bloom County) rocks, Pearls before Swine, Off the Mark....

I always read mine on Yahoo News, Pengy! They keep the comics for weeks, so, I can catch up on ones I've missed.

Zits, Get Fuzzy, Mutts, For Better or Worse, Drabble, Fox Trot, Opus and a few others who's name I can't remember right now. I save the comics for last as they are the best part of the Sunday Paper. I don't get the daily paper so I read the comics on line.

I seldom read comic strips anymore, even though I'm a fan. I don't subscribe to any newspapers, and that's how I was used to reading them, and then of course paging through the Sunday Color comic Strip section.

When i was growing up I would read them all the time. Our local newspaper only had a half a page of daily comic strips. My favorites of the favorites are in Blue.

              Of the regulars,
Peanuts ~ always the favorite, and at the top of the section
              Beetle Bailey
              Blondie
              Henry
              Dennis the Menace
              Ziggy

Sunday papers had a few others that I liked, including:

              B.C.
              Wizard of Id
              Family Circus
              Hi and Lois

Other dailies came in and out:

              Hagar the Horrible
              Garfield
              U S Acres
              Far Side
              Calvin and Hobbes
              Bloom County
              Frank and Ernest
              Baby Blues
              LuAnn
              Foxtrot
              Marmaduke
              Broomhilda
              Dilbert
Critter Country's a mess ev'r since the Country Bears were kicked out. Ya can't cover pooh with honey and 'spect people ta like it.

                  Dilbert first and foremost.

All the others just seem like a disappointment after Dilbert, but I do still enjoy Calvin and Hobbes, Foxtrot, Garfield, Bizarro, and Pearls Before Swine

Calvin & Hobbes is my all-time favorite. I ever have 2 or 3 of the books.

Get Fuzzy usually get a good laugh out of me.

Following the sad end of The Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes (I have all of the books of both), only Dilbert comes anywhere near to tickling me.
But is it just me, or is Dilbert not as consistantly funny as it used to be?

I read so many comics on line, it's a wonder I have time to do anything else.

But first of all - all time best ever for me Calvin and Hobbs. How I miss it

Now, in no particular order I read daily:

                          Crankshaft
                          Baby Blues
                          Sally Forth
                          Zits
                          Blondie
                          Pearls Before Swine
                          Get Fuzzy
                          Overboard
                          Pickles
                          Sherman's Lagoon
                          Rose Is Rose
                          Drabble
                          Luann
                          Dilbert
                          Foxtrot (Sunday only strip)
                          For Better Or For Worse

                            For Better or Worse.

I have loved that comic for years, like 15.... When I'd get the paper it'd be my first one read. Now I read it online in bulk... Hm...Might be doing that now.
