  • I'm in a radio commercial!!! Hear AliKzam in amazing stereo sound!

I hope it's okay to post this here. I recently did a radio commercial that was supposed to play locally. Today, however, I heard it on the radio station 92.7 Jill FM! That station plays southern California in the High Desert, the Inland Empire, Los angeles and Orange County (I think it may also play in Ventura and Riverside counties, but I can't guarantee it)!!!
If you hear an ad for Victorville Motors involving a husband, a wife and a genie, I'm the wife!
If you don't get the radio station but would like to maybe hear the commercial (because we all know that's why we listen to the radio), the station's website is www.927jillfm.com, I think.
The commercial should run until July 7th.

Congratulations! Very cool! And indeed 92.7 JILL-FM can also be heard in Ventura County, broadcasting out of Thousand Oaks.

In case anyone's interested, as I understand it JILL-FM plays "soft rock" with women being their prime demographic...the name, I recall, coming about sometime after the former Arrow-93 became JACK-FM. Is that correct, AliKzam?

Again, though, nice going with the spot!

It sounds about right to me. It has the same kind of format: no DJ (although an occasional spot here and there), making fun of Jack-FM (I was bummed when they got rid of Arrow-93 -- no warning at all) and the mix of music from different decades. Compared to Jack, I'd say the songs are definitely girlier. But it's a fun station, with an average commercial break lasting about three spots.

I knew (or had at least met) most of the people who worked for Arrow. They all got the word - by telephone. I did weekend sports for them when they were located in CBS Columbia Square, on the fourth floor, above Ch. 2 and 9 and KNX. Classy. But as you probably know - that's the wonderful world of radio.

Anyway, sorry for going so far OFF TOPIC!
