What do you think about people getting disney themes or disney characters tattooed? I never realized how many people have mickey mouse tattoos until a recent trip to disneyland. it seems quite a few did. how do you feel about people doing this?

Re: Not sure where to post something about disney tattoos
I actually had an argument with my friend about this today.
He seems to think my friend who has a tattoo of the Hulk ripping apart a demon is ridiculous. But what he fails to realize is how much that friend loves the Hulk. I know this has nothing to do with Disney, but it all relates, I promise.
He just doesn't understand why "anyone would get a cartoon character tattooed on themselves".
Honestly, I think if it's what you love then why the heck not? When it comes down to it, that's all that really matters, really.
Disney means a LOT to some people and, hey, it's their bodies.
I once saw this one girl with a whole Sleeping Beauty sleeve and it was flippin GORGEOUS.

Re: Not sure where to post something about disney tattoos
As a person who is HEAVILY tattooed, I just ask all those that look upon me and are offended, please, just look away. If you are offended, don't look at me. Thank you, and have a NICE day.Last edited by leopardchucks; 09-26-2009, 02:01 AM.For those of you that are curious about my wedding:

Re: Not sure where to post something about disney tattoos
Okay I know you didn't ask for these, but I'm just gonna post them to back up my argument that Disney Tattoos are AWESOME
Mind you, NONE of these are me (HAH I wish), they're just some pictures I've been collecting because I envy their beautiful tattoos so dang much.
Here is the sleeping beauty one I was telling you about
Her wrist says "True Loves First Kiss" :] I love it.
She makes me wish I had enough guts to get the Little Mermaid sleeve I have been dreaming about.

Those Sleeping Beauty ones are, well, beautiful! Wonder how many sessions THAT took!
Once while in line for Pirates, I spotted a woman with a picture of Tinkerbell on her tricep with "I believe..." written in scripty font beneath, and all I could think was Yuck! It almost looked as if she had chosen it off the wall of the tattoo parlor. Good concept, but the design just wasn't right.
I think it would be cool (but also painful!) to get a pretty quote from a Disney film in typewriter font on the inside of my wrist

Oh that sleeping beauty one looks SO amazing!
I was thinking when I was old enough of maybe just getting a small "Hidden Mickey" placed somewhere on my body.

Re: Not sure where to post something about disney tattoos
I saw a gal at DL 2 weeks ago with a lot of Disney tattooes and they were so beautifully done. I actually stopped her and asked if I could take a look. They were all down her arms. Lovely! I'm 48 and have been going to DL since I was 6, so, a Disney tattoo isn't out of the question for me, and, something I'd never regret!

Re: Not sure where to post something about disney tattoos
Ah Disney tats, I have a 7 inch Tinkerbell on my upper left side of my back, it was my first and done by an apprentice. She's not the best but she definitely looks better than almost every single Tink I've seen tattooed! haha
I am actually concerned about my plan to work at Disneyland and getting rejected due to having a tattoo of tink or better yet, a tiny anchor behind my ear...DLR/DCA: x10: 2019,2015,2014,2007,2008,2009,2010,2012,2003,1999

Re: Not sure where to post something about disney tattoos
I'd love to get either Belle or the enchanted Rose from Beauty and the Beast on my upper ankle (just above the sock line), but i'm far too chicken.
I thought the sleeve of Sleeping Beauty was just beautiful!!!Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

Re: Not sure where to post something about disney tattoos
*irritated sigh*
1) Tattoos hurt as much as a (continuous) 'scrape'. It's NOT like getting a shot from a syringe (needle). The needle for a piece of art that will last your lifetime, is NOTHING like a shot.
2) If you profess that you WANT a tattoo, then get one. There are few things more annoying than a person professing their love of tattoos (to a tattooed person) and just making excuses for why they have none of their own.
3) Your tattoo doesn't have to have meaning. Nothing ALIVE is PERMANENT.
I just thought I would throw this one out there: I always get people asking what stars 'mean'. They don't mean diddly. I JUST LIKE THEM.For those of you that are curious about my wedding:

Awesome those sleeping beauty tats...I have a firend who has Nightmare before christmas sleeve and it is just beautifully done...for that sleeve it took him almost 200 hours but he said it was worth it.."Your dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway." Walt Disney
