  • Halloween-Dress up

Since HalloweenTime at Disneyland just arrived, and I am starting to get into that "Halloween mood," is anyone else- Trick-or-treat party..
    or just Halloween at home..
Going to dress up as their favorite disney character?
Last year I was Peter Pan (Cause at the time last year, I wanted to audition for Peter Pan when I was older) and got to go to the Trick-Or-Treat party, which was a lot of fun. Now, this year sadly I can not go to the Trick-Or-Treat party, but I am still going to dress up as my NEW Character I want to be... Aladdin! Me and my friends are all going to dress up..
So does anyone else have any plans for Halloween- Dress up?
Or does anyone have any pictures of yourself dressing up at the Trick-Or-Treat party?
    Please share!!!

    Re: Halloween-Dress up

Well, I'm going to the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Trick-or-Treat event, i can't remember the date, though. I'm going as Minnie Mouse. I allready bought the ears from Disneyland, now I'm just waiting for the prices to go lower on the costume so I can buy it.

Oh really!? That sounds nice! I went with my mom last year..
we went all out, I could post pictures maybe..
but she had this VERY elaborate Cruella DeVille costume.
(it looked great!) with a wig and all.
but we live 6 hours away, and took a plane ride to Disneyland, and SADLY she forgot most of her costume at home..
so she just wore minnie ears and a minne mouse top. (She was VERY depressed, since we pretty much made the special trip, JUST for that) but overall It was fun. And my Peter Pan costume turned out pretty nice.
even though I dont have redhair....

Oh! I was Jack sparrow one year! It was a VERY detailed costume.
          (Even painted my nails black)
          haha.

Oh that's cool! My costume is very detailed too. The only thing is I have to shave my goatee for the Navy reserves, and I won't be able to grow it back in time for Halloween! When I dress up for Halloween, which is rare, I like to do it right!

Yes! Me two. Except I am only 15, so no beard. haha. but when I did dress up I had a fake beard and stuff. It looked very cool. : ) I like to make my own costumes.. buying costumes, usually look very cheesy and non-detailed.
              haha.

I'm gonna start making it soon.
I'm most excited about the bow in her hair, for some reason. I think it's so cute!
I'm getting 18 inch hair extensions and making a huge blue bow!! Yayyyy

                  I can't got to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Trick-or-Treat this year, but definitely next year :]

                      Re: Halloween-Dress up

For myself I'm currently undecided, but I am making my sister a Sally costume after she saw my own I had made a couple of years ago (that i busted out of the closet for comic con this year.) The colors of the dress change in every picture/model of her I've found, but I think I've got it down pretty good. The only downside was I didn't have time to make it dingey, so I'll be using more aging techniques on this version. I don't seem to have pics of mine on my computer, so I'll see if I can get some and I'll share.

2nd Club 33 visit- Febuary '10! Yay for my sister's birthday.
                      Next Disneyland visit: ???

                        aww!
the ariel costume will look amazing!
i also agree with the making costumes, you can make them look so much better and some costumes (little children ) have the character on them.

oh and next year i'm going to MNSSHP and going full out as alice

                            Re: Halloween-Dress up

My family and I will be going to the Trick-Or Treat party this year. Other than that, I don't really have a reason to get dressed up for Halloween. The three of us in my family decided to go as someone from a different time period. My sister in a Renaissance dress, my mother as a late 19th century pioneer woman and myself as a 1920's newspaper boy - cap, suspenders, knickers and all. Being a 6'1" grown man, I'll probably be the largest & oldest newspaper "boy" anyone has ever seen .
And I agree about homemade costumes. Some of my best Trick-or-Treating was at the age of 4, 5 & 6 when my mother made my costumes. BTW jdmedina1, one of them was Peter Pan. Good times.

Oh, and my dog can't go to the Halloween thing at DCA, but on Halloween, I'm dressing him up like a hot dog! He's a pug so he loves dressing up, he looks so adorable in the costume, but its like a stuffed animal, so when I take it off of him he thinks its a big toy and tries to take it, so I have it hidden from him! Sorry to go off-topic, since its not Disney, but I just felt like posting that! I'd dress him up like Percy the pug in Pocahontas, since he's also fawn, but the only thing to really dress him up like that is the Percy collar, which Disney doesn't sell or anything. Maybe next year I'll make him one, and then I'll be Pocahontas!
