I just read an article in Fortune magazine that said the outside contractor hired by Disney to find candidates for CEO is interested in Pressler to head the company. He did such a great job running Disneyland into the ground I guess they think it would be a good idea to bring him to do the same to the whole company. I'm not sure about the regarding posting links here so I'll just tell you I found under "news" while looking Disneys stock price and Yahoo. I just though all you DL fans would want to know that Presler's reign to terror may not be over yet.

I saw the title of this thread and I about died.
I think they would pick Iger over Pressler. My hope is that the Board of Directors is asking for a CEO that will be more people friendly than Eisner. I know not every company should be concerned about the likeability of a CEO in terms of consumers, but Disney really does need someone likeable in that position.
Maybe the B of D should look to one of Disney's classic films for inspearation on the shining qualities a CEO should posses:
The PerfectNannyCEO
from Mary Poppins
Jane Banks: [Spoken]
Wanted a nanny for two adorable children
[Sung]
If you want this choice position
Have a cheery disposition
Rosy cheeks, no warts!
Play games, all sort
You must be kind, you must be witty
Very sweet and fairly pretty
Take us on outings, give us treats
Sing songs, bring sweets
Never be cross or cruel
Never give us castor oil or gruel
Love us as a son and daughter
And never smell of barley water
If you won't scold and dominate us
We will never give you cause to hate us
We won't hide your spectacles
So you can't see
Put toads in your bed
Or pepper in your tea
Hurry,NannyCEO!
Many thanks
Sincerely,
Jane and Michael Banks:
Jane and Michael Banks.

I actually think I would boycott Disney if that happened. And I don't normally believe in boycotts...........

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! That would be a BIG mistake...If Pressler comes back...i'd say he's the antichrist...trying to take over the world...He probably figures that he can most quietly into the world through Disney...lol...maybe not...but that would be almost like it...LOL...Went to a party the other night
All the ladies were treating me right
Moving my feet to the disco beat
How in the world could I keep my seat
All of a sudden I began to change
I was on the dance floor acting strange
Flapping my arms I began to cluck
Look at me..I'm the disco duck
"Do the Disco Duck!!!"

Well, I think this is rank speculation of the worst nature. As far as I have been able to glean, the candidate search has barely begun .... and Pressler was never even on the short list. I don't know where this "news" came from, but it smells of bogusfiy to me.
That being said, I am already halfway considering not renewing my AP after the 50th. Were Pressler to become Disney CEO, that would be the end of any future money or patronage the company would get from me.
Furthermore, I'm not so sure this thread even belongs in the Disneyland forum. So if you find it gone, it may be because I decided it more properly belongs elsewhere ... or it might be because I can't bear to even look at the title anymore!

I'm thinking of a clock tower, sniper rifle, two bullets each for each member of the board and a rocket launcher for Eisner alone. Please God don't make me kill.
I honestly don't know what I would do if Pressler became CEO. I would definitely forget my dream of being an artist for Disney and start trying to sell my talent to Lucasfilm. I would probably become a Magic Mountain Fanatic then and boycott every single thing that Disney ever put out.
