  • Word of the day - A game

I'll give you a new word every day or so. You'll come up with a clever way to use it. Soon, we'll all be so darn smart and verbose that no one will be able to stand us. Hooray for self-imposed isolation!

    First word:
    • Word: SOPORIFIC
    • Definition: causing tiredness or sleep
    • Synonyms: weary, drowsy

    Example:
The never ending game of Monopoly proved to be so SOPORIFIC that Dusty's head soon hit the table, lodging a hotel firmly in his nose and causing the thimble to pass GO on its own.

    Cheers,
    Dusty

I find NiQuils soporific effects to have no impact on me whatsoever.

(ADMIN NOTE: additional word removed. The OP will list another word tomorrow)

(POSTER NOTE: Awww. Oh well, your thread, your rules...)

Homework is so soporific that I often fall asleep while doing it which causes me to dream about mass communications, american government and biology. This is why I wake up screaming.

Working several 12+ hour days in a row was such a soporific experience that she soon began to have daytime halucinations of being living in the secret underground tunnels of the Matterhorn.

Fishbulb sat, unable to pull himself from the sopoforic bruckheimer film infront of him, and tried to enjoy the banal dialogue and purile storyline which he already guessed the ending to.

I find most modern film releases to be so soporific. But, please don't call me pedantic.

George Bush's feeble attempts at humor are usually soporific at best.

Wait, I think I meant sophomoric.

The SOPORIFIC college work forced me to run to the safty of micechat.
Friendship, stronger than death. Though we both will die you will always be my friend. And though we speak of forever, we both know better. So until our forever has its end, know that I would die for you my friend. These times will change and life will find us on our separate ways, that I hope are not too far away. There's no other place in the world I'd rather be than right here with my friends. For this love that we share, I'll spend the rest of my life laying it down for you.

Thinking agonizingly about what the BEEP 6 by 2 is, my SPOROFIC state leads me to sitting legthargically on the sofa, simple-mindedly watching cartoons.

Valiant was so soporific that I threw my popcorn at the screen, stormed out of the theater, berated the manager and demanded he return my money. But then I remembered it was a free sneak preview, so I skulked back into the theater and went to sleep.
