  • The New Pacific Northwest Micechatter thread.

Hi everybody! Well I just noticed that the old Washington Micechatter thread has been locked and decided it was time to start a new one.

There are quite a few of us up here in Washington and other nearby states. This thread is not only to help keep track of us, but also to talk about local get togethers. We have had several the last few years. We have gone to the Experience Music Project, seen many films, visited the Disney Warehouse store, met Marty Sklar, met up for a meal or 2, and even attended the inaugural Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet.

I plan on having meet ups for things like the Frog and the Princess and such. But first let's see who we got.

This is a list of all of the known Micechatters in thre reason. Post here if we missed you. If you would like to be removed from the list, send me a PM.

Well I suppose I should get something started for "A Christmas Carol". Who is interested and when do you want to go? It starts in just over a week on November 6th. Should we plan on the theater in Southcenter again?

I'd be more interested in seeing "Princess and the Frog." But I can look at my schedule later on today and figure out when I'm free.

We will be doing that one too, it is just farther off. I kind wish they would reverse the release dates on the 2 films. DOesn't it seem like CC should be a December release and Princess and the Frog in November? oh well.

I'm up for A Christmas Carol. The other doesn't really tickle my fancy! I'm free every weekend in November for a change. No Saturday work days. (Except tomorrow, Oct 31.)

Several MountainEars are getting together this Friday Nov 6th to see the 7:45 IMAX 3D showing of Disney's A Christmas Carol at Southcenter Mall. Would be great to see you guys there! We plan on eating at the Mall before hand.

              Cool. Thanks for the invite.

Does that theater actually have IMAX, or do they have the fake IMAX that I keep hearing about on Aint it Cool News and Roger Ebert's blog?

I'm not available this weekend as we have a school event on Saturday and set up is on Friday afternoon and that's too far to drive on a Friday evening. As for Christmas Carol in general - I am totally bummed that the movie release dates weren't switched. I'm just not ready for holiday stuff like that yet, but would LOVE to see Princess and the Frog in its entirety already!! Keep me posted on the plans...
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

It is not the same as the one in the Pacific Science Center to be sure, but still nice. Tickets are $15 for Imax.

So far it is sounding like the Micechatters cannot make Friday for the most part. What about next weekend?

Re: The New Pacific Northwest Micechatter thread.

My weekend off is this weekend and then the weekend my brother and sister in law come up (which is also the weekend New Moon comes out, so that means I'm going to be geeking it out with them). I don't know where South Center is but if it's far for everyone else.... I'm so much more into seeing "Princess and the Frog" because there's some actual history there (and the way "Christmas Carol" is done freaks me out).

What's the fake IMax? I'm curious.

                          Southcenter is near Sea Tac.

You can fly from Anacortes in your medical helicopter.

I cant this weekend. My weekend is booked solid.

Friday is Maes soccer party, Saturday is Disney on Ice and my friends daughters party, and Sunday is the hubsters Birthday.

$10,000 later. I could never be a helicopter RN. I'm afraid of heights (which is funny because I'm tall).

Thanks Anthony for the heads up that this thread is here!

Kittingknerd - I'm also afraid of heights and tall. I wonder if it's because when we are up high, our heads are just that little bit higher then everyone elses?

Now, for the topic at hand...this weekend is also not good for us. We are open to other suggestions though. And I'm super excited that my Neenie is open on the weekends!

Well it sounds like this upcoming weekend is not very good overall.
Thoughts on next weekend, 14th or 15th? I know this does not work for KnittingKnerd. How about everyone else?

Depending on the time, we could bring the crew.

Southcenter works for us. Northgate, Bellevue (Lincoln Square Cinemas), Issaquah, Crossroads.... Heck, we're usually game for just about anything.

Ann - would love to catch up with you guys again!

Neen - it's been too long!

Anthony, seriously, just pick a day and time; we'll figure out if we can make it.
                                    "Fire at will, boys!"

Mark and I are going to see A Christmas Carol tomorrow, but, I'd see it again with my NW homies! It has been too long for us all!! It was UP, right? (And, Rich, you weren't there.)

Ok, Well how does Saturday, Nov 14th sound for people? I have not found a schedule yet for that days showings though. I imagine the plan will be like it always is, meet beforehand for lunch then go to a showing in the theater. I assume that we all want to meet at Southcenter again. That seemed to work well last time.
