Ok to start off I am not a diehard scraper, I would consider myself a novice, I have done a few cool pages about 4 years ago then stopped, I lost intrest.

Well 2 weeks ago I found the Disney pictures form our 2003 trip (I thought I lost them and I was absolutly devistated) I had planned on makeing a scrapbook to document our trip but compleatly lost hope...


so anyway I found the pictures, have renewed intrest in making my book so I went to Michaels To go get a basic book and a few stickers, Well I found a disney scrapbook kit (Book (with a dimensional mickey on it), 10 sheets, and 10 pages of stickers) $50 ouch!

but I figured the plain book I was going to get was $15 the 4 pages of stickers were $11 and the extra pages were $3 total $27. so I decided that the papers and sticers were worth the extra (a difficult justification but...well I can justify just about anything) I get to the register with my kit, 1 extra page of Ariel stickers, and some cut phrases on velum (my handwriting stinks)
only to find out the kit was on SALE!!!! I spent less than $40 total the kit was $30 (I LOVE a deal)

anyway the sale goes thru today it's a great kit and for only $30 not a bad deal....

a very dishonest, but effective technique that works at my michaels is : when I get tot he register I tell them I accidently left the coupon at home. I KNow they always send out coupons. They always pull one out and scan it for the discount. It's usually 40 to 50 % off..

I saw that. I am waiting for their 50-70% off sale. I'll get it for around $20
The lady at our store here said they do it once a month.

I picked up a crapload of Disney scrapbook stuff at the cast sale last summer; now, I have an entire book, filled with six months worth of memories!
I was obsessed with that scrapbook...

I love to scrapbook but it takes up so much time and money! I have a few Disney pages... maybe I'll take pictures of them and post them sometime.

thanks for the link..cool stuff.

since starting my book last night I have compleated 7 pages...I'm pretty proud of myself.
I have an opening title page Disneyland 2003 (I'm so original, huh?)
I have 2 pages for Paradise Pier hotel (including a great shot of DCA from our room),
2 pages about Ariel's Grotto (I experimented with velum for the first time (fun stuff)
and 2 pages from Goffy's Kitchen (Bright, colorful, energetic, fun) this one is my favorite so far.

then I went out to another scrapbook store (expensive hobby in the making...yikes!) and got some cute papers and Tinkerbell stickers for my charactor pages (at least 2 of what will be 6 pages)

and now I can not buy anything else until payday...prob. a good thing.

anyway thanks for listening to me ramble, I'm kind of excited that I decided to do this (and that I found the pics.)
