    FM107.1 | Friday's Dance Break: The Pink Glove song

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEdVfyt-mLw"]YouTube- Pink Glove Dance[/ame]

    What a beautiful effort on the part of employees of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center (Portland Oregan) to have put together this video in order to raise breast cancer awareness. "Down" by Jay Sean is the perfect motivational song to make people dance with abandon for one great cause that is anything but abandoned. Love boogies on down, baby!

            Where's the dance for prostate cancer (which my dad had)? Or brain cancer (which my grandmother died from)? Or colon cancer (that a friend of mine died from)? Or lung cancer?

              There needs to be campaigns to raise awareness and money to cure all forms of cancer. Sorry to hear about your dad and grandmother, aimster. :squeeze:

              My mother passed away last year as a result of several aflictions. I feel that her spirit wants me to carry on while making the most of life... and I do. Still, there remains a void in my life because I loved her so much... and continue to.

                Re: Doing The Pink Glove Dance For Breast Cancer Awareness

                ^^ My dad is still alive. They were able to get the cancer with surgery. But he has to have his PSA checked every 6 months, which is still no picnic. And on top of that, he was in the hospital for a week earlier this month... he has a herniated disc in his back that has a mass of infection around it, plus it's sitting on a nerve, so he's got pain in his hip/leg. He came home from the hospital last Monday night, but has to do an IV for his antibiotic meds twice a day (a home care nurse got him set up, then showed my mom how to hook him up), which he has to be on for the next 7 weeks. He has blood labs in another week and another MRI in 3 weeks. He's been laid up with this back thing since Christmas Eve. He can go out and do stuff, but he really has to take it easy.
