  • Winter Olympic Hidden Mickeys?

Ok, im sure everyone who reads this is just going to think im crazy, but in th opening ceremonies tonight, when the girl sang "Hallelujah", the lights that were on the podium he was singing from looked like very distinct classic mickey heads. I know your thinking im really stupid and crazy, but seriously, watch it and tell me those dont look like Mickey Heads.

First things first, that was not a guy, it was a gal, k.d.lang. (I know, she has a low voice and even lower haircut.)

Anyway, I could totally see it. Disney just has to have their hands in everything.

If this is the case I can totally see Iger saying "Men, draw your lawyers. Its time to sue."

haha yes i did think you were crazy, but with all those lights, i guess it's possible to spot a hidden mickey somewhere, i was too busy trying to ignore it cause i didn't think her voice fits the song. i'm just too used to john lennon singing it (he sings it right?)

No, the song wasn't released until 1984 and Lennon died in 80. John Cale covered it in Shrek. Others that covered it include Bob Dylan, Rufus Wainright and Willie Nelson.

I, on the other hand, nearly wept from the beauty of her voce.

If anything, the lights just could've been coincidence.

It was written and performed by Leonard Cohen. Tons of artists have covered it since, but the most famous rendition was sung by Jeff Buckley.
Amnesia used to be my favourite word, but I forgot it.

Tony Lucca still sings it the best, IMO.
                    Good morning, son
                    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                    It was pain
                    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
